This was a nice apartment in a great area. It was very quiet at night, close to Piazza Santo Spirito and many restaurants and bars. We also enjoyed being away from most of the tourist crowds. We only had a few issues with the apartment: 1. It was listed on VRBO as having a washing machine. Our stay was nearly a month and in my search for accommodation, having a washing machine was important because we travel very light. We ended up having to go to the self-serve laundromat just up the street. 2. The stairs to the apartment are no joke! Anyone traveling with heavy suitcases will have difficulty lugging the case up 25 or so steep stairs. 3. There was a sewage smell that came thru the apartment intermittently. Not really surprising as the building & area are quite old but it was a bit unpleasant. 4. We rented the apartment for nearly a month and I found it odd that I had to request the sheets and towels be changed weekly; which was done at no extra fee. However, for cleaning of the apartment during the stay (bathrooms, floors, etc), there was going to be an additional charge, which I thought was out of line for a 4-week stay. Overall, we liked the apartment well-enough and found it to be a very good value.
