Garibaldi St Cozy Retreat Exclusive Boutique Apartment

An absolutely beautiful property full of character and charm. Spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need. Superb location on a pedestrianised street with so many bars and restaurants to choose from. The host Francesco was amazing and looked after us from before we arrived until we left. His recommendations of places to eat and visit were really helpful. I can’t recommend this property enough.

We have stayed in many properties in Italy over the last three weeks - this was our definite favourite. When we arrived we met our host Francesco's lovely mother who, though she spoke no English and we (shamefully) speak little Italian (yet), managed to convey great warmth and welcome. The apartment itself is centrally located in the old town. It is spacious, airy and filled with light. The decor and furnishings have been undertaken by someone with a great eye. Everything we could possibly have needed was supplied, in a most generous manner. There were treats awaiting us in the kitchen which we greatly appreciated and enjoyed. There was the tiniest washing machine we ever met (but perfectly sized for holiday washing) and we got to live the Italian experience of hanging our clothes on a line outside the window. Francesco was very communicative both before and during our stay, offering excellent suggestions for places to eat and drink in Trapani. I've seen a couple of comments about the parking. It was not an issue for us at all (apart from us typing the wrong registration number into our app and getting two parking fines, which was entirely our own fault). We managed to find a large car park about 5 minutes easy walk away on Piazza Vittorio Emmanuelle, and with the use of the EasyPark app, we were able to top up from anywhere. It cost us about 10 euros a day. In the interests of balance, we have tried to think of things that were not perfect during out stay, and it's been hard. Pretty much all we could come up with was that the kitchen could do with a large, sharp kitchen knife and the apartment door would be easier to shut with a knob on it. There was, as you'd expect, some pedestrian noise during the day, it being the old centre, but this was never an issue (and I am very noise sensitive) and it was quiet at night. Overall, the apartment was lovely - a good place to spend time in.

A sharp kitchen knife would have been great, and a knob to shut the apartment door - we had to really think hard to find those things. The apartment was pretty near perfect.

Everything about this apartment is perfect; the location (in the heart of old town Trapani), the apartment itself (beautiful, clean and spacious) and the host (extremely kind and helpful).
