Jock's Bay had a lovely view and was in a great location. It was just off the road so you could hear some traffic at night in the rooms, but it was pretty minimal. Lovely views and the space was really lovely. All the rooms were comfortable. Apart from my comments below, everything you need to cook etc. Andrew was very responsive to any requests for info etc. It was about a five minute walk to the pretty secluded beach - other people could access it but pretty quiet. Water is cold but I went in for a bracing swim! Until I saw that some very smelly water / sewage was coming out of the hill ! All in all loved it. Enjoyed visiting Hermanus and there are some shops for getting provisions in Betty's Bay.
It's always hard to know what you are going to get in self catering, but most places I've gone to in SA have at least a few welcome tea bags, coffee and coffee filter, plus a jar of milk, salt and pepper and oil. Just the very basics to get going. I suppose at least there was some washing up liquid and a sponge.
Worrying about Baboon's getting in!
A beautiful area with fynbos that slowly is being covered by houses - so wonderful to enjoy it, whilst sad at the same time.

We loved our time at Jocks Bay View - lovely accommodation with all the facilities we could want to make our stay comfortable.
Weather was awful! But that was nothing to do with the host!

Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and tranquil with fantastic views and easily accessible from the main road with ample parking. It is a safe and secure area, and the home is beautiful, neat, clean, and spacious.
