Elvira's Homestay

¿¡Qué no?! Imposible escoger lo mejor....Si el paraíso existe, debe parecerse a Elvira's. Desde su calidez y joyfulness a las comodidades que te pone para todo: me vinieron a buscar al aeropuerto, me llevaron a sacar dinero y comprar una SIM. Todo por solo 200 pesos. Además, Elvira me llevó y recogió de Alona for free y me dejó su bicicleta. Disponen de motos para alquilarles, pero como no sé llevarla, me consiguieron habal habal (moto con conductor) para un día entero súper económico que me llevó a todos los sitios de Bohol que le pedí. Las excursiones a Virgin Island... también salen más a cuenta con ellos porqué incluyen el pick up y tal. Elvira es un amor, con la típica ternura filipina, y Era, la perra, me robó el corazón. El lugar es paradisíaco: tu casita (hay 4) con tu balcón súper bien acondicionado, con tus utensilios para comer...Puedes usar la cocina y dejar cosas en la nevera. Las tumbonas, el jardín, la súper hamacaaaaa!!! Todo súper bien cuidado 🥰 La playa que hay justo detrás, Momo beach, la local, es infinitamente más bonita que la de Alona, y el snorkel es espectacular con miles de estrellas de mar y peces tropicales. Además, son divers, así que si quieres scuba, ya sabes!!!! Salamat po, Elvira!!! 💕

This place is truly magical with all the bamboo set-ups and Elvira’s wonderful hospitality!!! Everything works well and I had a short but lovely stay here. Just look for the sign that says Elvira’s Homestay by the main road!

Nothing really

Everything! I loved the little cabanas/room felt like I had a room and a private semi outdoor living room, so cute and really cheap. Only had a fan but that was perfect for the nights. Everything was clean and they have a beautiful giant garden so lots of space to walk and sit down. There is even a little kitchen area with free drinking water and the wifi works well. Super peaceful. The hosts are also amazing, super nice and sweet. Offered delicious breakfast (extra fee but really cheap). And they even let me borrow their bicycle (for free) for the 4-5 days I was there to get to my Freediving course because I can drive a motorbike!

The only thing, and really only thing is the bathroom are shared and a little far from the cabanas.

I loved everything about this place. It was my favorite stay in the Philippinesw it was stunning, quiet, had all we needed, it was clean. Elvira and Alex were amazing. They went out of their way to make us feel incredibly welcome. I have no words for the way they treated us. I was so sad to leave. That place made me love Bohol even more. The place is so affordable and everything you buy at the little bar on the property is incredibly affordable also. You can certainly see they are not trying at all to take advantage of people. They are really the most amazing hosts and you will have a great time there.
