Soleil et piscine au calme d'Avignon, sur l'ile de la BARTHELASSE

The house is really comfortable and clean. The grounds are woodsy and lovely. Even though you are “out of town” you are close to a bus that takes you to Avignon in 5 minutes! Helpful because parking in Avignon is a bit of a nightmare. There is an amazing restaurant just two estate next door - Bastide de Bellegarde” - you need reservations for breakfast and especially dinner!! Superb country French dining!

This is minor once you work it out - but the bathrooms aren’t exactly with each bedroom. For instance my bathroom - which was new and really nice- was in the ground floor - when all the bedrooms are on floor one. In the end - I liked this - very private!

Location was quiet and around a 50 minute walk into Avignon itself. Parking just outside of Avignon is free and easy to get to. Ubers were also available and very useful. In addition, Franck also provided cycles to use, so this could have been an option but we didn't have time to use them. The pool and gardens were lovely, very peaceful and such a nice place to chill. We used the BBQ once and enjoyed entertaining some visiting friends on the large balcony one evening. It was all really nice. Franck and Ghis were very accommodating and super friendly and kind. Would highly recommend for a relaxing break. There's lots to do in the area and we had some great suppers out, went to a brilliant flea market, visited Pont du Gard amongst other things and were able to walk and run from the door. Perfect. Thank you Franck and Ghis.

The main bathroom only has a bath - the shower is in the ensuite room. The other shower is in the basement, so you have to go outside to get to it. This was fine for our needs, but it could be a problem for others. Apart from that, nothing else we didn't like!

L’allée pour accéder à la maison mériterait d’être tailler.

Ghis et Franck nous ont très bien reçu, le logement était propre et avec tout les équipements nécessaires. L'emplacement proche d'Avignon mais dans reculé et au calme est exceptionnel. Parfait pour un groupe (ami ou famille) de taille modérée.

Des petits désagrément comme le manque de moustiquaires sur certaines fenêtres ou les escaliers/plancher qui grincent beaucoup quand on souhaite se coucher en décalé mais rien d'important.
