The bathroom was clean and modern with a massive shower. The hotel offers free water which was the best. It was difficult to get water at other properties so we were extremely grateful they had plenty of water available for guests. They even have an espresso machine available to use anytime. Breakfast was wonderful. The restaurant is next door and they offer a menu with a great variety of options. There is a parking lot across from the hotel that's easiest if you have a car and are lucky enough to find a spot. Overall, we had a wonderful and comfortable stay during our time in Montalcino.
While we did have a wonderful view of the Fortezza, our room also overlooked the parking lot. We were on the first floor so people could see directly into our room and shower. We had to keep the windows closed which defeats the purpose of upgrading to the castle view room!

Property was beautiful! Our room was gorgeous, and everything was new. Bed was comfy and shower especially was very nice.
