Ottima posizione, casa dotata di tutti i comfort. Doccia molto comoda. Parcheggio disponibile a poca distanza. Con un po’ di fortuna c è anche posteggio gratuito.

Note that this review is not for Casa Tecla, but for Casa Duccio, another property very near to Casa Tecla. We briefly entered Casa Tecla, and it looked very nice, just like the pics for Casa Tecla. But we did not stay there, because there was a paint smell in Casa Tecla from a recently painted wall that had not dried quickly enough. Barbara kindly switched us to nearby Casa Duccio alle Mura della Città. Casa Duccio is a beautifully decorated, spacious apartment that looks just like the pics in the listing for that property. Barbara was a terrific host- very responsive, cheerful and helpful. She gave us good recommendations for restaurants, called to arrange the early morning taxi we needed, helped with bus schedules prior to arriving to Siena, and was helpful in all possible ways. The location of both Casa Tecla and Casa Duccio is quite close to the escalators that are so important in Siena, which is built on a hilltop, and which make the walk to the center from both of the apartments a short 10 minute walk.
Our only suggestion is to enable the heating to go up a bit higher (it capped out at 20.5 degrees celcius), as it was a bit chilly in the apartment. But we had warm blankets and slept well.
The guests for both Casa Tecla and Casa Duccio should be aware that from the bus station, Maps will take them on a route down some extremely long stairs, and that is to be avoided, as carrying luggage down all those stairs is very tiresome. Instead, be sure to use the route that takes the escalators down- much easier!

Clean, very quiet, comfortable and close to the centre of Siena. We had everything we needed. The host, Barbara, was only too happy to help with everything we needed. It was perfect!

We stayed 5 nights for a conference at the university (20 minutes' walk) and cultural holiday.
Great location - you really are next to the city wall! Short (but uphill!) walk from car park. 5-10 minutes via escalator to cafes, Duomo, Piazza Campo, and other sites. In the evenings, we loved the easy walk home (downhill!) from the many excellent restaurants in Siena.
Apartment is spacious for two people.
The main bedroom gets stuffy quickly. The A/C solves this problem easily, but not everyone will want to sleep with it running. One of us tried relocating to the upstairs bed.
We unplugged the air freshener - it triggers asthma!
Be aware: the nearby car park is expensive - but that's Siena for you. Just remember to factor into your plans this extra cost.
However, the convenience of the apartment's location outweights these problems. If visiting Siena again, we would definitely consider staying here.
