Atlanta Oasis in Old Fourth Ward, Conveniently Located to Downtown Fun

As frequent VRBO renters, we would describe this property as being similar to a well used, budget hotel. The area is in transition so expect the old/new, good/bad etc. It can be noisy at night on the week-ends but generally it is a fairly quiet area. The parking is gated as is the complex adding to the safety of your vehicle and the apartment. There are good restaurants in the area (Edgewood Pizza, Marcus Bar & Grill) and it is an easy 40 minute walk downtown. The apartment is sparsely furnished and the furniture is very well used. The unit needs updating but both beds are comfortable, the WiFi is excellent and the heating/cooling system works well although the vents could use a cleaning. Parking is convenient and gated so your vehicle will be safe. Appliances all work well. Disappointing was the lack of basic equipment especially in the kitchen where there was no can opener, corkscrew, kettle, dish towels, oven mitts, only 3 plates etc. The LL brought us a kettle after we brought it to their attention. No basic supplies such as salt, pepper, coffee, sugar etc are provided. The bottom line, bring everything with you that you need. Important to note that there is no elevator and the apartment is on the second floor so you will need to carry your luggage up the stairs if that is an issue.
