Myself and my partner stayed at the boathouse, it was amazing!!! Stunning panoramic views, no people, peace and tranquility. We would highly recommend to anyone. Being off grid was exactly what we needed. We loved being surrounded by nothing but nature. The Eco friendly lodge has been very well thought out, it’s modern, comfortable and has everything you need whilst remaining sympathetic to it’s natural environment. Superb! The staff have honestly thought of everything. It was spotlessly clean and a few lovely little touches such as robes, torches and even midgie nets! There is something truly magical about The Boathouse, we would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Wonderful property and great location! Host was easy to work with and very responsive. It is very remote but that’s what we were looking for. Just come prepared to stay and unplug/unwind from everything. The boathouse

Epic location, amazing views, peace and seclusion from a busy world. The Boat house is designed beautifully and is very comfortable. The off grid credentials are perfect for getting away and finding some real quietness. The only let down is the shower (pressure is poor and if the wood burner has been going for any length of time it will be scalding hot). Tip - run the hot water at full pressure until cold water starts to replace the hot in the holding tank to be able to shower decently, takes about 20 minutes! Either that or be prepared for a cold water dip in the loch. Also if you enjoy your fly fishing, take your own equipment as the provided is not sufficient - the wild brownies are great fun. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the stay immensely (5 nights) and look forward to returning one day. Keep an eye out for the otters on the loch edges, they are great fun to watch and may even end up underneath the boat house at times.

Ideal for restful days with view on a small loch with birds and animals passing. The Hot tube was nice for our muscles relaxing.

A hidden gem. Spent a weekend of utter bliss in the wilderness here, enjoying the peace and tranquillity, wildlife, taking the boat out (even catching a fish) to relaxing in the hot tub after dark. Bed was cosy, robes were great also! Perfect place to chill out and re-set from a busy life. The location and accommodation are so well thought out. From booking to departure, everything was perfect - staff were on hand to answer any queries and assist if needed. The added provision of the Land Rover to access the accommodation was an added little touch that was needed and enjoyable. Everything you require for a weekend away was thought of in the accommodation. Would return in a minute and counting down the days until we can return again. If you're pondering whether to book - don't, just do it as you wont regret it!

Wonderful few days in April. The cabin was well equipped and the off-grid facilities easy to use. Plenty firewood and enough electricity through solar/wind power to run the lights and charging devices. Completely by ourselves in isolation with wonderful scenery and some interesting wildlife. Great walks nearby too, so didn’t need to drive anywhere.

The Boathouse was the most amazing 4 days cut off from Internet...phone...people but not from Nature, fantastic views and absolute peace and quiet...throw in the winter frost, zero light pollution and clear skies, stargazing on the open deck and panorama windows it was magical.
