The appartment was a whole house with rooms over three floors and a lot of space. The underground station is about 15 minutes by foot or 3 minutes by car and it goes directly to the National mall. This was perfect for a family on budget. The equipment was nice, TV running OK, kitchen usable etc.
The air conditioning was a little uneven: the temperature was quite colder in the lowest room while warmer in highest floor.

Could have a tv in each room and a patio set on back with a small grill and more attention to fine detail in cleaning

It was clean and spacious. The hosts were very responsive to the issues we did have.
It was dated - the stairs were creaky, etc. When we arrived the upstairs shower was not draining well. The next morning, the laundry machine stopped working and then suddenly there was no running water at all! But the hosts did fix all these things and even took our laundry and returned it clean and dry in the afternoon. FYI… there is only street parking.

The kitchen was nice.
There is a couple of things that should be addressed with your property. Your washer machine is not working, the smoke detector need a battery and it's hanging from the ceiling, both your shower curtain are dirty, the shower stopper is breaking, there was no towels upstairs only downstairs, your chairs and sofa in the living room are dirty, it smell like someone had a cat there, the bathroom needs an update, walls needs to be painted
