Soleil boutique house with terrace

Excellent location in Rythmno Old Town. Car park was just 200m away so it was easy to bring the luggage to the apartement. The home is excellently renovated with good location of plug in sockets by each bed and through the apartement, which is always handy for charging devices. Since each of the two ensuite bedrooms were on different floors, there was good privacy for two couples. The highlight of the apartement is the 3rd floor rooftop terrace!!!! The kitchen was sufficient to cook in and there were dish drying towels and cutting boards, several okay knives. I liked the washing machine. The beds were comfortable and the A/C worked well in both bedrooms. The apartement was very clean and midway through our 8 night stay, new towels were brought in for us. The host, Eleni, was easy to reach and very responsive whenever we had questions. Eleni also ensured we had plenty of local information and restaurant suggestions - much appreciated!

The ground floor was a bit damp and the dehumidifier didn't work efficiently. However, when we mentioned this to Eleni, she arranged someone to come in and look at the dehumidifier, so that issue was addressed promptly. The dampness has to do with the sea air and the stonework on the ground floor, I believe. So not unexpected given the ancient foundations of the house in the Old Town. Old buildings have quirks. The washing machine is in the ensuite bathroom of the 2nd floor bedroom. The dining terrace on the 2nd floor and the rooftop terrace could only be accessed through the 2nd floor bedroom. This was an excellent stay and I would recommend!

Such a beautiful house, nice and cool and down a quiet street. Lovely welcome gift of wine and cookies and the hosts couldn’t have been more helpful! The house was the most well equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in - had everything you could possibly need! Great little souvlaki/kebab place one street back - Farma- we had a takeout and ate it on the terrace. Lovely cafe behind the church too Je’taime, if you don’t want to walk far for a drink/breakfast. Our best meal was at Zefyros in the Venetian port - outstanding fish restaurant! We would highly recommend this house and would definitely book again.

If I had to pick one thing, I would say the bed was a little hard for me but that’s a personal preference! And just a heads up for the church bell wake up - it didn’t bother us though!

Amazing, quiet location in the centre of the old town. The owner is always extremely responsive. The owner provides comprehensive information in advance, including detailed directions, instructions for accessing the keys via the lockbox, a thorough house manual, and recommendations for local attractions, activities, and dining! The house itself is beautifully presented, exceptionally clean, and features very comfortable beds. Plenty of white towels are supplied, with additional sets available in a cupboard. The large first-floor double bedroom includes a small Juliet balcony, while the second-floor double bedroom – accessed via a spiral staircase - opens onto a spacious terrace with a dining table. From here, a set of steep metal stairs leads to the upper roof terrace, which is really impressive and furnished with very comfortable outdoor seating.
