10 day stay in Rethymno at Pal Calma Suites

Stayed in the presidential suite. The apartment was bright, clean and spacious with all the facilities you would need to make a comfortable stay. George was an exceptional host who was always willing to help - whether that was if we had any questions about the accommodation, restaurant recommendations, or to book a restaurant or transport, George replied promptly and efficiently. The location was excellent, right in the old town of Rethymno. At night, you wouldn't hear much noise from the restaurants and taverna's below, making a comfortable and quiet night sleep. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to stay when in Rethymno and look forward to booking again in the future.

A fantastic holiday in the most beautiful location. The host made this stay feel like a home.

The suite was well equipped with everything we needed and the location was excellent within the heart of the old town. George was an exceptional host who helped us with all our needs from helping with car hire to finding us parking to booking us hair cuts! Nothing was ever too much. The property was safe and secure in the most friendly neighbourhood.

As we were within the hustle and bustle of the old town it was not silent at night (we went with two children so we were going to bed around 10.30pm - this is early in Crete as most residents are eating at this time!!) I must say the window shutters and windows blocked out most of the noise. So it was only a very slight background noise. If you are looking for a very quiet spot then this would not suite as it’s in the heart of the old town.

A lovely flat with exceptional service

The property was exceptionally clean and tidy - there were three of us and it had everything we needed including kitchenware, a lovely shower and two TVs. It was right in the centre of the town making it super convenient to get to the port, all shops/bars/restaurants, and the sea. George went out of his way to help us in anything we needed, whether it be booking restaurants and taxis for us or cleaning the room throughout our four night stay. He was so kind and friendly and couldn’t have done more for us. We really appreciated all his help and would highly recommend Pal Calma suites to anyone thinking of visiting Rethymno.

Home Away From Home – Already Booked My Next Stay!

I stayed at Pal Calma Suites in the Junior Suite and honestly, it was one of the best value-for-money experiences I’ve ever had. Everything was within walking distance, super convenient and easy to explore the area. A special shoutout to Giorgos – what an amazing guy! He went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed and made us feel truly welcome. It honestly felt like home from the moment we arrived. One thing’s for sure: I’ve already booked my next trip for next year. That’s how good it was!

I had an amazing time at Pal Calma Suites! The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable — just what I needed to relax. What truly made my stay special was George, the host. Excellent choice - Awesome experience

Pal Calma Suites is a great choice for those who want to find a beautiful and convinent place to stay right in the heart of Rethymno and in the middle of Crete as well . Everything ( sights , entertainment , shops , food) is only a few minutes by foot, away from your door . Our Suite was recently renovated , cozy and luxurious . In a few words , it had all the amenities that are required for a relaxing and enjoyable stay plus it was one of the cleanest places we have ever visited . The highlight at this stay was our host . George is a very helpful person and a kind soul as well . He was very welcoming and attentive from the start . His knowledges of the area and his connections with the locals made our trip unique and remarkable ! Can't wait to come back next year !

Located in the heart of the city, this place was perfect for my staying. The host provided excellent tips on local eateries and attractions! The apartment was absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated. Our host George went above and beyond to make sure we felt like at home, attentive and made sure everything was in order for our last minute arrival. We will definitely book again!

And Mr. George - words won't be enough for his kindness, always smiling and very funny young man, attentive, responsive, a friend. Amazing hospitality, excellent accommodation at a perfect location in a fantastic old town.

George is simply the most attentive, available, genuine and caring host you could possibly imagine. He is a born and bred local with more info than you'd ever need. He's happy to show you around the old town to get your bearings and his suggested food and drink haunts should be noted. The property is super clean with comfortable beds, a large bathroom, modern kitchen and a well designed layout to maximise space. Within the pedestrian old town but only a minute to the exit gate and convenient parking lot basically at your doorstep. The cafes and eateries right outside your door are frequented by many locals which is obviously a good sign and the main street leading into the depths of the town is a few metres away so you can always find your way home after the Raki bars. We could not have been happier with this find. 10 out of 10 for property and location, and 20 out of 10 for George. Excellent!

Fantastic property in great location with excellent host.

Everything was very good. We stayed in the junior suite and while it was quite small it lacked for nothing and didn’t feel small. It’s good to have access to the terrace when you want fresh air but don’t want to go out The quality of the fittings and furnishings was high standard. The location is excellent , we quickly felt like locals and got to know a few of the restaurateurs in the street. George is the most amazing host , he is friendly and extremely helpful , nothing is too much trouble. All up a fantastic property

Modern comfortable apartment in the beautiful old town. The best host you could ask for.

The apartment on two levels was very spacious modern and clean. Wifi and TV with Netflix also very good. Water , juice, coffee, sugar , homemade raki and condiments also provided on arrival. George was a superb host, nothing was too much trouble for him, meeting us from the bus and giving us a free guided tour of the old town. The apartment is ideally placed if you like to be in the area where shops and eating places are. Only a short walk to fortress , harbour and beach.The washing machine was freely available with detergent as an added bonus.

One of the best places we have ever rent. The whole building as well as the Suite have an amazing style , very classy decorations and this artistic touch which makes a stay unique! Beautiful terrace for morning breakfast and evening chill. George was always available to help us out and gave us an amazing guided tour of the town . Totally recommended ! One of the things that you don’t find often at all is that we had big discounts at some restaurants and shops just by showing them our Suite’s keys . Thank you George for your hospitality , availability and kindness. We will definitely come back next year !

The rooms looks like in the photos, this is not often the case. George was a great host who he helped us with tips for our visits, and we also spent some time together. We came as guests and left as friends :) The apartment is very clean and very well located. Despite the fact that breakfast is not included, one can enjoy a breakfast in the nice restaurant just in front of the apartment, Lefteria and Adoni will be happy to host you! Regarding parking, there is a parking place really close to the apartment for 5€ a day so even if the apartment does not include parking this is not a problem. If we come back to Rethymno we definitely would come back to Pal Calma apartments. Giorgo, we expect your visit when the season is over!

A hidden gem literally in the heart of Rethymno . Just a few steps away from all the town’s historical monuments , fine restaurants and bars. The suite was clean and the bedroom was very cozy . George the owner , is a lovely person . He gave us a guided tour at the Old Town and not only he provided us with some very good recommendations for our night out but he also helped us make the table reservation . Fully recommended to all. The location is perfect !There is a parking lot just 100 meters away from the Suite . George , the host , welcomed us for the check in and gave us some good tips and recommendations about the town’s restaurants and bars ! He was very friendly and polite . The room was clean and comfortable with literally every household item that someone might need. I will definitely come back again !

The location couldn’t be better, on one of the pedestrian alleys in the old town, just round the corner from the main shopping street. The beds were comfortable and the bedroom was larger than in the pics. The host George was really friendly and very helpful with great advice on bars, restaurants, etc. The complimentary raki and sweets were a nice gesture.

Όλα ήταν τέλεια ! Καταρχάς υπάρχει οικονομικό δημοτικό πάρκινγκ στα 2 λεπτά με τα πόδια . Οι σουίτες είναι στο κεντρικότερο σημείο της πόλης και με λίγα λεπτά περπάτημα βρίσκεστε στην παραλία . Η σουίτα μας ήταν κομψά διακοσμημένη με φουλ εξοπλισμένη κουζίνα , άνετα στρωματα και smart τηλεοράσεις !Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι όλες οι επιφάνειες , ακόμα και τα κρυφά σημεία , ήταν πεντακάθαρα !!! Ο Γιώργος σαν επαγγελματίας οικοδεσπότης ήταν πάντα πρόθυμος να μας εξυπηρετήσει σε ότι και αν χρειαστηκαμε ! Το προτείνουμε πραγματικά σε όλους !
