Location was excellent, great layout, spacious rooms and fantastic garden

Beds are a little too soft for us and pillows flat, understand that is personal choice. Few minor DIY jobs needed.

The property was clean, good facilities and great recommendations of local cafe and pub.

We were a family group of 7 adults so two of the beds would have been more suitable for children but they were comfy and clean. Could do with another sofa as some of us had to sit on the dining chairs.

We liked the location, the kitchen storage and appliances. The place has more potential than it's currently offering though.

It wasn't quite as clean as it could have been. We noticed this as more time was spent in the accommodation. There were cobwebs everywhere, lots of dust under surfaces ( noticed because we had toddlers toys constantly being retrieved from under the sofas and tv area. The rug had lots of dog hairs in it. Only noticeable after the children had played on it and they were stuck to their clothes and skin. Not a massive deal, but still. The master bedroom ensuite had no handle on the inside of the door, so not really user friendly until we found a knack. The bedroom outer sliding door was permanently open (ajar), didn't fit properly or needed repairing. I didn't fancy trying to close it incase i made it worse. The bedding had a few marks on it and was a little tired, but we slept ok. I wouldn't recommend the house for toddlers really. The garden was steep with steps and a slide to a lower level. Great for older kids. A disused greenhouse over taken by nature and an old metal bin with sharp edges tipped on it's side, maybe used to burn stuff. Again, lots of risks for little ones. Beach equipment promoted in the description (surfboards) was pretty much falling apart, so don't be fooled by this. A good tidy up of briars etc would make a difference too. There were not enough pans for cooking a decent dinner, also loose handle on one. Please provide more than 1 tea towel. This sounds like a very poor review, but lots of little fixes could make such a difference. It would definitely work well for a group of adults, but sadly not for 2 yr olds. A bit of time for improvement both inside and outside the property would lend to a higher score, but for us, it was an average stay.
