Great house in Stowmarket

I booked accommodation for colleagues working in the local area, and enjoyed their stay. Tim was a great host; friendly, responsive, and attentive throughout their stay. The property was ideally located, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, making it a perfect base for their work trip.

The place was great, though the kitchen didn’t have many utensils, and parking was a bit tricky at times.

Uncomfortable and unpleasant

No heating or hot water, in December. Extremely steep stairs. Toilet seat broken. Mould and damp on ceiling and in downstairs bathroom. Only one fork provided. Dirty plates. Cold, unhomely. Wish we'd stayed in a hotel.

Warm and cosy house with clean and modern facilitiess

Location was excellent - very close to the town centre. The house was very clean, warm and comfortable with a nice kitchen and two modern shower rooms. The bedrooms were okay- a little spartan in my opinion but fine for sleeping. We parked right outside the door. The keys were easy to access. The television was great - lots of streaming channels.

The kitchen equipment was basic to say the least. I think a few more utensils and cooking equipment would be good, especially as it has a nice kitchen where in theory you could eat in if you wanted to. The garden is totally unappealing. You wouldn't want to sit out there in the summer- needs a makeover! There were a few brownish damp patches in the sitting room and downstairs bathroom. The stairs were really shallow, very difficult to get up and down safely. The trains were a little noisy at night. On the whole though it was a good visit and we would come again.

Passable property in convenient location

Beds were comfy, upstairs shower worked very well and house was close to town centre. Fresh milk provided in fridge.

Furnishings very basic with no extras. It should be flagged in the property description that the stairs are extremely steep, uneven in height and with a very short depth. Although there are two double beds, there is not room for 4 people in there.

Stowmarket stay.

The location was ideal for my trip to visit family, using the train. Walk to the station took 10mins. Also easy to walk into the town centre. The house is small and compact with all modern white goods, microwave and TV with free WiFi 🙂. Main bedroom has Ensuite bathroom.

The Suffolk stairs are very steep ( just like my Grannies!) As I am getting older they were difficult to climb.Therefore not suitable for persons with limited mobility.

The property was mainly very clean and lovely and warm making it comfortable and welcoming. The location was good. The showers were very good.

The rear garden unfortunately was in a poor condition and if visiting in Summer would have been very disappointed with this. The rear door's threshold and outer weatherboard to the door were in a dirty condition which made entering the property unwelcoming. It would have been nice and useful to have had at least some milk and coffee/tea bags available on our arrival. The lounge/kitchen would have been cosier and more homely with a rug to the floor and a more substantial table and chairs. A couple of pictures/paintings on the bedroom walls would make the property more homely.too.

A very welcome experience in a quirky house

Very nice owner. We felt very welcome in this 'quirky' house. It does not have a standard, but it works well.

The staircase to the bedrooms has rather large steps. You have to be 'awake' to use it.

Close to busy railway line and level crossing with loud bleeper. Difficult to park near property due to a lack of allocated spaces.

The TV setup have many movies and shows available, also the fridge was nice as I could keep my food nice and fresh.

The lack of cooking utensils (strainer, no different ladels, no spatula, no baking tray ECT) Also it is next too a train line that runs all throughout the day and night so it halts driving but also as the master bedroom window faces that direction this would be a problem for anyone who sleeps lightly.
