Zafira Retreat

Its our second year at Zafira and the view and the accommodations comforts continue to impress us. There is a secluded beach nearby. And the place also has a yard in which you cand relax and cook anything more than you can cook at your own kitchenette. Meaning barbecue and such. There are supermakets nearby. And more importantly there is a gem of a taverna right next to Zafira. Its called Dimitra’s Taverna. It has a lot of good food, and the hosts, Dimitra, and her son Kostas are very warm and giving people. I would recommend Zafira to anyone who wants to come to have some tranquility and seclusion, and spent intimate time with the loved ones.

This year, the situation with some neighbors was upsetting. We stayed a week at the accommodation. The first 5 days were great. We had Romanian neighbors from Timisoara. We ourselves are from Romania, and everytime we meet romanians we are trying to keep the distance. Not because we dont love our people. Just because when we are in a vacation we like to feel the whole culture of the place we re going to envelop us. This time we had wonderful interactions with our co nationals. They were several families staying there and behaving very respectful and neighbourly. We spent our time enjoying ourselves without disturbing the other. Even though we didnt get to know eachother well, we had pleasant interaction, and they respected our need for intimacy. However, the last two days came a group of some other romanians. When they arrived it was clear to us they’re not necessarily like the civilized neighbors from Timisoara we’ve grown accustomed to. Long story short, they started to play music from their massive speaker very loudly. I myself have done this on several occasions in secluded place, but that happened on the condition we had the whole place to ourselves. This a being different, on the first night they arrived i asked them to lower to music considerably, having it been played for several ours very loudly, and at the time it became even illegal because we were passing into the silent hours(22:00). They reluctantly agreed only turning a bit lower. During all this time i communicated with the host, who has in the past and during all our stays, been very helpful and open. I know he tried to communicate with them. But the whole thing happend again the next day. This time just after lunch. Of course it might not have been the “quiet hours”, but it was so loud i couldnt concentrate speaking. I again went to them to ask them to stop it completely this time. We got into an argument. And it’s sufficient to say they stopped it after a tense 10 minutes.

Everything was top-notch. The owner was extremely kind and helpful. They cleaned our room and terrace daily. The room was equipped with everything we needed (Nespresso machine, kitchen equipment, hair dryer, etc.). The nearby beach was 3-minutes away, walking distance.

Six nights at Zafira Retreat flew by! Halkidiki won us over from day one: a turquoise, crystal-clear sea, olive groves, pine trees, strikingly beautiful and contrasting scenery, and a calm, unhurried pace of life. And Zafira Retreat was the perfect base for our holiday! Comfortable, spacious, spotlessly clean, with every detail thought through. Starting the morning with a coffee on the terrace in complete silence was priceless 😊 The hosts are wonderful: they welcomed us warmly, told us all about the best beaches and tavernas nearby, were always reachable and ready to help with anything, yet never intrusive. If you're deciding where to stay in Halkidiki, this is the place. Zafira, thank you for a wonderful holiday! 🌊

Bahçesi güzel. Yatak rahat. Banyosu iyi sayilir. Yalnız veya çiftler için uygun olabilir. İnternet bağlantısı iyi. Barbekü olanağı var. Ev sahibi çok iliğini ve güleryuzlu

Mutfak yok ya da kısıtlı. Buzdolabı çok küçük. Etrafta çok sivrisinek var, o yüzden akşam bahçede oturmak imkansız. Telefon iyi çekmiyor. Plaj ve denizi güzel değil. Merkeze uzak ancak kafa dinlemek isteyenler için uygun olabilir.
