Casera Val Montina - Dolomiti Wild

Posto bellissimo ed isolato, perfetto per qualche giorno di relax

It is located close to the main road but at the same time in a quiet place. The room was very cosy, the bed was super comfortable. Everything was clean and we also liked the food. The main plus was the location and the friendly staff. This is a perfect place for someone who wants to get away from busy life, away from crowded mountain trails and just enjoy nature. There are several mountain paths that start at the Casera and take you to beautiful places. The staff prepared our food to go and helped us to plan our trips. At the end of the day there was nothing better than having a nice cold beer while taking a bath in the wooden barrel and enjoying the view of the mountains. Just perfect!

We did not know that one MUST walk along a 600 meters path to get there. I do not remember seeing that information when booking. Not at all easy if guests are carrying luggage with wheels. OK for us with our backpacks. The staff was top, they cooked vegetarian for us. and were available to chat with us with dedication. The place is beautifully designed and kept. Both inside and outside it is beautiful, just perfect. From there we enjoyed a very good afternoon hike. Excellent for a pause before our 7 days Dolomiti trekking.

The location of the accommodation was great, the cottage was surrounded by nature and greenery. The bridge leading to the cottage is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, something everyone should go through at least once in their life.

The accommodation lacked storage space, at least one wardrobe, which we missed since we stayed for 4 full days. In the bathroom, there was a sewage smell, and the breakfasts were always the same, without any variation from day to day.
