We were in town for a wedding and this was the only place we could find near the venue (Bavarian Inn) that was pet friendly! We were pleasantly surprised when we found out it was a mere 5 minute drive, making commute back/forth for wedding events all weekend easy with 2 little ones in tow. The home was in great condition and my toddler LOVED being so close to the train (it was loud at night, but we found our sound machine dulled it down enough that it never woke up the kids). The booking process was a breeze and the property manager was incredibly kind and helpful answering my questions in a timely manner.

An adorable, clean, and beautifully decorated brick cottage walking distance from the restaurants and shops of downtown Shepherdstown. Cute sheep theme in the house decor. Five stars!

We stayed with my husband, our two kids (2.5 yr and 5 months), my parents and their dog. It was a great spot for a quick family getaway! There was a pack n play crib provided with a crib sheet and lots of board games and toys for our 2.5 yr old to entertain himself with. A baby gate was also provided which was very helpful!
It’s located right next to an amazing general store with handmade wooden toys. But it’s also located right off the train tracks and we could hear trains coming through the night. Thankfully it didn’t wake the kids up, but just a fair warning for lighter sleepers! My toddler loved watching the trains go by in the daytime.
Check in was supremely easy and overall the place was lovely! There was also a nice outdoor space we unfortunately didn’t get to use since the weather was too rainy, but it would’ve been great.
