A secluded couples retreat set in a mature forest in the beautiful Hocking Hills

Room was great but it was hard to get service on phones and the hot work one day and didn't we had very limited service on our phones and could not watch local news had to watch dvd

Private wee studio with just enough of what we needed. Very nicely appointed, restful environment. Screened porch a real plus and the main reason I chose this property, given summer in the woods and potential for bugs. Hot tub a bonus after hiking (and climbing) the trails on mature knees Farther from the state park than some other rentals but would definitely return to this property.

The cabin was beautiful. The screened-in porch was our favorite part. It rained most evenings of our several night stay, but we were able to still enjoy the peaceful setting relaxing in the hot tub and rockers on the porch. It is worth noting that cell service/data is spotty at best inside the cabin. There is a tv with dvds available but no actual tv service (in line with the listing description; we knew this ahead of time) so we brought games to play. There was a deck of regular playing cards in the cabin which was nice for those who may not bring their own. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you may need including a microwave, toaster oven, and stove top. The fridge itself is a good size but the freezer part is on the smaller side. I planned to fill my water bottle with ice for hiking and am glad we checked the freezer space before buying a bag because even a small bag probably won't fit. HOWEVER, the host does have two ice trays in the freezer that can be filled to make ice which I greatly appreciated! Overall we had a great stay and would definitely book this cabin again!

Loved the house, very secluded. Screened in porch for hot tub was my main reason for booking. Comfortable bed. Enough essentials if staying in to eat. Perfect couples get away! Not too far away from anything. Pretty much 20 minutes from any main trails or shopping. Mark is a great host. You won't be disappointed!
