About this house rental

Yeats is a lofted tiny home for two — compact by design, comfortable by intention. Queen bed under the eaves, private hot tub on the patio, fire pit stocked and ready for the night ahead. Part of Notestone Reserve, our family-owned 14-acre property in Laurelville — right in the heart of the Hocking Hills.

Most guests spend the whole stay in their own lane: hot tub, fire pit, patio. It sits in a small cluster of four tiny homes at Notestone Reserve, our family-owned 14-acre property in the Hocking Hills. Each unit has its own outdoor space — privacy panels around the hot tub and natural shrub and tree coverage between units keep things feeling separate without being walled off. The shared game room is a short walk across the property when you want it, easy to skip when you don't.

Named for W.B. Yeats, whose work was always reaching for something just beyond the ordinary — the kind of thing that gets easier to find when you actually stop moving.

Sleeping

• Lofted queen bed with crisp linens — the beam above the bed sits approximately 29" from the mattress, so you'll want to sit up carefully. Once you're lying down it's perfectly comfortable; just something to know going in.
• A note on the loft stairs: the staircase is a standard build for a tiny home — all to code, but the ceiling comes down as you climb and the last step up is higher than the others. Most guests navigate it without issue. If stairs are a mobility concern, our glass homes — particularly Thoreau, which has level entry from the parking area — are worth a look instead.
• Sleeps 2

Outside

• Private hot tub (striped towels provided — hot tub and bath towels are kept separate). We’re switching to a 2-person oval hot tub in each tiny home, due to an Ohio state regulation change. The old tub sat 6 — generous for a home built for 2, but not exactly built for two. This one is.
• Propane grill with tools
• Woodburning fire pit — firewood and a starter log are ready when you arrive. Extra wood in the outdoor box at the far end of the home or by the shipping container. Keep the lid closed so it stays dry.
• Seating for two with blankets for the cooler months
• Privacy panels around the hot tub and natural shrub and tree coverage between units

Inside

• Kitchenette with cooking essentials — pots, pans, utensils, and a starter supply of basic pantry items
• Coffee bar: coffee maker, coffee, and tea
• Spa-style bathroom stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion
• Towel sets for every use: bath, hand, face, makeup, and dedicated hot tub towels
• Smart TV with streaming capabilities
• Bluetooth speaker
• Starter kit on arrival: 2 rolls of toilet paper, paper towels, a kitchen sponge, and trash liners. Worth packing a little extra for longer stays.

The Shared Game Room (open to all Notestone guests — a short walk across the property)

• 85" Smart TV
• Pool table and foosball
• Basketball arcade, classic arcade machines, and a racing game

Getting Here and Getting Around

Notestone Reserve sits in the heart of the Hocking Hills — close enough to hit two or three trails in a day and still be back in time for the fire.

• Rock House — 3.3 miles · 7 min
• Conkle's Hollow — 8.8 miles · 15 min
• Old Man's Cave — 11 miles · 20 min
• Ash Cave — 16 miles · 28 min

Cedar Falls, Cantwell Cliffs, and the rest of the state park system are all within a short drive. Cell signal on the back-country roads can be spotty — download your directions before you leave home.

Under normal conditions the driveway is accessible in just about any vehicle. During winter months when ice and snow are a factor, we recommend 4WD or AWD for the back roads leading in — the driveway to Yeats itself is typically fine without it.

About the WiFi

We run Starlink satellite internet. It holds up well for most things — streaming, music, casual browsing. Video calls and long phone calls can cut out occasionally, especially on overcast days. If you're planning to work remotely, it can work, but plan for the occasional hiccup. We'd rather tell you upfront than have you find out mid-Zoom.

A Note on the Setting

We're in a wooded area and stay on top of regular pest control. That said, a ladybug or a curious spider showing up is just Hocking Hills being Hocking Hills.

Check-in: 4:00 PM · Check-out: 10:00 AM

Early check-in and late checkout are available based on our schedule — fees and taxes apply. Just send us a message and we'll let you know what's possible.

Late checkout to 2:00 p.m. — $75 + tax
Early check-in, 2:00 p.m. arrival — $35 + tax
Early check-in, noon arrival — $50 + tax

A Few House Rules

We're a small, family-owned operation, and keeping Notestone calm and well-kept is a group effort. A few things we ask:

• No parties or events, including bachelor/bachelorette groups. And no glitter — it genuinely never goes away.
• Registered guests only on the property
• No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property, indoors or out
• No fireworks, ATVs, hunting, or weapons on the property
• No commercial photography or video without written approval
• Hot tub: striped towels only, keep the cover on between soaks, and please don't adjust the temperature • below 100 degrees — it takes several hours to recover
• Septic system: flush toilet paper only, no garbage disposal at the sink
• 4WD/AWD recommended during winter months

Before You Arrive

All guests sign a short renter's agreement after booking. We'll send it over — quick, painless, and it helps us take good care of you and everyone else on the property.

LOCATION DESCRIPTION

Conkle's Hollow is 8.8 miles (about 15 minutes). Old Man's Cave is 11 miles out (about 20 minutes), and Ash Cave is 16 miles (about 28 minutes) — a full day of exploring without ever doubling back. The remoteness is the point.

GETTING THERE

Notestone Reserve is in a rural area of Hocking Hills — the good kind. Under normal conditions the driveways are accessible in just about any vehicle. The back-country roads leading in are a different story in winter — we recommend 4WD or AWD when ice and snow are a factor. The driveway to Yeats itself is typically fine without it.

Ash Cave is 28 — far enough to feel like a day trip, close enough to be back for the hot tub before dark. This tiny house is adorable. It has everything we needed. The space is efficient and just enough for two people. The bed is comfortable. The loft is snug. Both of us bumped our heads on the central beam as we were getting into bed before we learned to avoid it. It was nice having a tiny loveseat so that one person could sleep in up in the loft while another person enjoyed coffee on the couch. This tiny cabin is one of a row of four, but strategic fencing and trees between each site give enough privacy we felt comfortable using the hot tub and patio. We had a small problem that one item had not been restocked in our cabin, but Stacey responded immediately and got us what we needed. We would stay here again.

Great A great place to spend a weekend getaway—or even longer! It is a clean spot with beautiful scenery, and there are many lovely places to visit nearby, including caves. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, and the owner treats us as if we were the ones who owned the house. Thank you so much—I am truly delighted.
