Situated just outside Ambleside with breathtaking views of Lake Windermere and surrounding mountains and yet within walking distance of the village. The house (all except the Amdega conservatory) dates back to 1840 and is full of character and is one of three properties converted from a previous Country House Hotel, but has been redesigned for the 21st century and much use has been made of Laura Ashley fabrics and furnishings.
The semi-detached house is of an open plan design consisting of a fully equipped kitchen and spacious living room, with a fantastic conservatory featuring the dining area, and two delightful en-suite bedrooms with wonderful views across the valley towards Wansfell Pike. Immediately outside the house is a lovely patio complete with garden furniture, and benefiting from stunning views. The garden then slopes away from the house down a meandering lawn with mature borders to the ’secret’ garden which is a beautifully sheltered sun trap.
The central location of the house to the Lake District makes it easy to access the many and varied attractions the Lake District offers. Footpaths begin right on the doorstep.
