Good morning! We had a very pleasant weekend with some hiccups. The retreat was just what we needed. WE are a family that enjoys quiet, access to the water, kayaking and sitting around the outside fire in the evening, gazing at the stars. I suggest bed side lamps. the screen door was loose on the door leading from the kitchen to the deck, i had to buy tea light candles to light the steps going up to the entry door.. I was surprised to see the bedroom adjacent to the games room. It was listed an an upstairs bedroom, needs heat in there for sure. We made excellent use of the kitchen for our meals, pantry space was very adequate. Do supply a potato masher for the potatoes. Dishwashwe washer was so nice to be able to use. Feeding ten people three times a day was a treat for easy dish and cutlery washing. Nice to have lots of pans. The gift was very much welcoming and appreciated. We were a ble to warm up two of the bedrooms, had to heat the kitchen with the stove oven in the morning to ease the morning chill/. Other then that we enjoyed it. Extra seating in the living room area is needed. I notice in the picture the sofa in the games room was pictured being in the upstairs living room. We certainly enjoyed the deck adjacent to the kitchen for extra seating. God willing we will be back. Thank you so much! We certainly mwill try and be back next Octoberg

We enjoyed the place overall. Couple minor things we didn't like: * the floor was dirty/dusty when we came in (not like garbage were left on the floor, just dust and needed mopping... we mopped it). * the garbage/recycling bin outside was full when we arrived, no space for our bags to be thrown in * there was no thermostat control (I understand not having a full control but having control over couple degrees would have helped as the temperature fluctuates a lot during this time of the year) * no dish-soap/cleaning spung/scrubber at the place, but did have dishwasher with adequate tabs of detergents Place was nice otherwise, it was easy and convenient to interact with people renting it out, were very quick to respond as well. Definitely somewhere we can come back to if going to that area.

The team from grey bruce were super helpfull and nice. Answered all my questions promptly. I was disappointed in the shape we found the house in. Felt dirty and run down. We had a great time and the location is amazing, but for 2500 dollars for 3 nights I expected more. Its a nice cottage with a probably great history but the overall feel from the start was this place needs work done. Empty nails in the walls dirty doors a railing thatwas wobbly on the back deck just made me think about what this place could look like when someone cares about it. Even though we had a great stay I probably wouldnt come back. The price was to high for what it was.
