A country road lined with white dry-stone walls leads to Santolìo Country Retreat. The entrance is a courtyard overlooking a large garden filled with olive and fruit trees.
The property is divided into two residential sections.
The main living area features a spacious apartment comprising a living room with a fireplace, a dining room, a Sicilian-style kitchen, and a bathroom; it can accommodate up to 4 guests thanks to its two double bedrooms. The second living space is the adjacent guesthouse, featuring a double bedroom, a bathroom, and a living room with a kitchenette.
Santolìo Country Retreat, surrounded by a white stone fortification, is built next to an ancient necropolis carved into the rock, part of archaeological remains spanning a very broad time period. From the top of the necropolis, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding area and stunning sunsets. Here, you can also see evidence of rural life through the presence of underground chambers used by the “massari,” for example, for fermenting grape must and producing ricotta.
The spacious garden, meticulously tended and well-lit, is furnished with sun loungers, a hammock, small tables, and chairs.
