Luxury Mountain View Aparthotel at The Tokyo- 12th Floor No Loadshedding

I liked the space, it was neat and clean. I loved the room. It was big and spacious and had all the basic amenities for a city apartment.

The coded door was initially giving me issues. I couldn’t get the code to work but after getting help I was able to access the room. The other issue which I was aware about based on reviews was the sewer smell coming from the bathroom. It’s quite pungent and if you don’t close the bathroom door you do smell it unfortunately but I made sure to close the door when I was not in there. The smell does not linger once the door is closed. Lastly, it’s not a major issue but I asked the receptionist downstairs if I could possibly leave my luggage in a lockable area/storage until I could get my rental car about 2 hrs later and I was not able to be accommodated. It was quite unfortunate and I ended up dragging my suitcase all over town because I could not store it there so it’s not recommended if you intend to explore town for an hour or two while you wait to go to your next destination.

I think mixed people stay in the building and not all let. Every day there is the constant smell of Marijuana down the passage we were 12th floor in the lifts Also I think other rooms used on an hourly rate as odd looking people often seen in the lift so definitely looked like ladies of the night... my impression only. No hairdryer despite asking for one Staff were a little rude on check in. Showed them my booking kept asking me for the apartment number and telling me I would have got a code. I tried explaining that I had a message via booking.Com but was quite argumentative. Eventually she looked at my booking and apologized and explained what I needed to do.

Location is great.

The bathroom smelled like poisonous gas, even after a thorough recleaning. Seems like the plumbing is an issue. Front desk people seem indifferent; it's as though you are interrupting their phone time.
