Excellent place for ski weekend with family

We stayed over the ski weekend (family with 2 small kids) : Very friendly and helpful staff, unique design for a chalet (modern African design and wibes), convenient location near the ski lifts + an excellent restaurant for fine dining and breakfast :) Kids especially enjoyed the joyful greetings of Sunshine, friendly and very well educated dog.

a small hotel in a setting that has the potential of a large one

Almost everything, nothing is perfect;-). The area is beautiful big garden which can welcome a swimming pool. I liked the staff very kind, friendly and natural, the rooms worthy of a 4 stars hotel, the sauna which look like a rocket with the view (unfortunately in front of a tree), the brunch on Sundays don’t miss it !

Almost nothing, it is more for improvement .. a reception, even I liked to be welcome at the bar, it is more for the staff ;-)

Lovely and familiar

Surprisingly friendly staff, very friendly for (well behaved) dogs. It felt like home. Supporting in anything you need. We had the music festival going and they organised an evening barbecue with live music. It was a very friendly atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice vacation. Was everything perfect ? no. if you look for perfection, that's not the place for you. But it was the small things and the way they were handled that brought the familiar charm to our stay.

Well, I would encourage the staff to try to improve what they are doing, if possible without losing their friendliness and the homely touch. And please please, have a garbage bin somewhere for the guests with dogs :)!

Un petit bijou !

Accessible facilement depuis la gare de Gryon, jolie terasse avec magnifique vue sur le Grand Muveran. La décoration est splendide, lit confortable, chambre spacieuse. Un plus pour le personnel très chouette et accueillant !

Mysigt ställe mitt i naturen och kul detaljer

Menyn var trevlig på kvällen och känslan var som "hemma hos någon". Kul med det afrikanska temat, många roliga inredningsdetaljer.

Frukosten var ok men inte så mycket mer.

Empfehlenswerter Aufenthalt zum reduzierten Preis (ansonsten zu teuer)

Schöne ruhige Lage im Grünen etwas abseits vom Trubel. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll im afrikanischen Style eingerichtet. Der reduzierte Preis von CHF 160.- für eine Übernachtung im Doppelzimmer (WAFO Zimmer 7) inkl. Halbpension ist gerechtfertigt und entspricht der Gegenleistung welche man erhält!

Frühstück sehr dürftig - kaum Auswahl. Halbpension: es gibt ein vorgegebenes kleines Abendessen (siehe Bilder) - keine Wahlmöglichkeit und nichts für den grossen Hunger nach einer Wanderung (für den Spezialpreis jedoch ok). Die Sauberkeit dürfte etwas genauer genommen werden. Freundliches nettes junges (ständig wechselndes) Personal - jedoch unstrukturiert. Wer Perfektion (Sauberkeit, ausgiebiges Frühstück und Abendessen à la carte) sucht ist hier falsch.

Das Zimmer war stielvoll eingerichtet.

Bei CHF 180 Franken für eine Einzelperson sind die Erwartungen hoch. Doch das Frühstück ist nur Basic wenn man Eierspeise, Schinken, Lachs, Joghurt, Birchermüsli will kostet das Extra. Die Zimmer sind zwar hübsch aber mehr Schein als Sein. Im Lavabo gab es kein warmes Wasser und der Fernseher wahr auch nach dem Einrichten nicht zu gebrauchen, da die maximale Lautstärke nur ein leises Summen war. Alles in allem passt vieles nicht zusammen.

une petite touche Africaine dans la déco 'chalet'; tout est propre , la chambre bien insonorisée les espaces extérieurs où il fait bon respirer ; le petit déjeuner est complet le service est à la hauteur de l'établissement sans être guindé .... un établissement que l'on peut conseiller sans risque !

Das Personal war super freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer und das gesamte Hotel waren sehr sauber und frisch. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Aufenthalt im Le Wafo (haben bereits wieder gebucht).
