About this farm stay rental
Come stay on a unique working sheep and goat farm!
The cozy and comfortable farmhouse is within a very short distance to I-75, Moody Air Force Base, South Georgia Medical Center, SGA Motorsports Park, & Valdosta State University.
The farmhouse is on a private, 10-acre Homestead Farm with a gated entry on a quiet, "U"-shaped road with few neighbors and no thru-traffic..
Well-equipped with above-and-beyond amenities that will make your stay relaxed and enjoyable, including a whole-home Honeywell generator for peace of mind!

The kitchen is decked out with a full gamut of utensils, pots, pans, cooking spices, and appliances.
There are a wide variety of board games inside the living room coffee table for your group's enjoyment. Also, there is a 60" TV in the living room and another TV in the master bedroom, with wifi and Roku TV capabilities!
A spacious outdoor patio has a fire pit, and bbq grill, and looks out to the beautiful cypress woods beyond!
See if you can spot herons, cranes, deer, duck and rabbits!! (I promise there are no chupacabras!!)
Guests have full access to to the Outdoor Guest Space.
This beautiful area boasts a spacious patio complete with seating, a large charcoal grill, and fire pit.
Inside the seating / storage boxes, there is some complimentary charcoal briquettes to get you going, along with fire starter, a lighter, and grill tools.
There are skewers for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. We even have in the box a frisbee, sidewalk chalk, and a basketball to play some hoops on the net nearby at the corner of the garage slab!
Let me know if you'd like me to get out the cornhole tables from the garage, and I'd be happy to do so!!
We do welcome your pet, and have a fenced 25x14 dog park very close behind the farmhouse for your use!
Pets that will be uncrated in the in the house MUST be potty trained and supervised at all times! When you are not at home, your pet MUST be crated.
Please let me know if you need to borrow a crate, I may have an extra one on the farm, and I'm glad to help out.
I definitely make myself available for any concierge type questions that you may have about the local area!

This property was absolutely adorable! Very unique, well designed and decorated, and very clean! Plus the house is on a farm. They have sheep and goats. I would definitely stay here again. Oh… and the most pleasant surprise… the kitchen was actually stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, sweeteners, oil, salt, spices, etc. rare find these days.

We were in the area visiting our son at Moody Air Force Base and wanted a place that was clean and comfortable for the 4 of us. We stumbled upon The Painted Sky Homestead and couldn't be more impressed. Not only was the apartment cozy and clean, but it had everything you could want and need for a family stay. Check in was easy and straightforward. The property was welcoming and so were the sheep and goats. The kitchen was stocked with whatever you needed to make meals, the bathroom was roomy, and the bedrooms right down to the beds were very comfortable. Our host Abigail, was friendly and communicative, always right there if needed. Moody AFB was a quick ride for our son to stay with us, and it was so close to Walmart and places to eat. We hope to be back when we visit our son again! This was a very lucky find for us, and you will find that too!

Intentional luxury. Everything in this “apartment” (which is as big as a house) has been well thought out and intentionally placed to make your stay comfortable and convenient. From the labeling of light switches to the make up wash cloths. This has the feel of a luxury hotel but in the country. I won’t hesitate to use and recommend to anyone.
