Lovely house with private pool in Burriana!

Spotless, clean accommodation with plenty of equipment if you wished to self cater. Comfortable beds and sitting area, good wi fi. Pool is lovely though in shade part of the day. There was a lot of extra equipment; beach items and pool toys. Outdoor furnishings and sunbeds were available too. Relaxing and quiet.

The key lock box was extremely difficult to get open and our taxi driver had to do it in the end. We had to phone the owner after 20 minutes of trying to open door to one casita and there is a "knack". Two steep flights of steps down to level 1 and level 2. There is a lot of walking involved, the roads are steep but taxis good value. Not suited to anyone with mobility issues or unable to walk far. We were not able to use the outdoor areas at certain times and only used the pool once or twice due to mosquitos. Despite using all precautions, my travelling companion needed hospital treatment due to the severity and number of bites. While accepting mosquitos are inevitable and following long sleeve long trousers protocol, repellent , citronella candles, they were clearly a vicious variety. It was likely time of year, Spain has had a lot of rain fall too but the purpose of the holiday was to relax by the pool, eat al fresco and chill. I am sure we were just unlucky.

The house was stunning in a great location albeit hilly if you had mobility issues. It was the most equipped facility everything you need was at hand,even a shopping trolly ready for the large Mercadona 5 min stroll away washing machine was a great bonus,as was the umbrellas and beach chairs although a bit rusty but they are hanging in there. The house is split into two apartments the lower floor being the smallest please bare in mind that in each apartment the bathroom and toilet facilities you have to go through the bedrooms to access it so less private but manageable I would say this is ideal for two couples more adults would struggle. Henrik was absolutely amazing always on hand and communication was smooth.

*main apartment bathroom dated and has a shower curtain over the bath very annoying when it's clinging to you. *Aircon good but needs a service not running as it should. *Sun loungers could do with updating. *the steps to pool and area in need of a good clean and paint and repair the crumbling walls. *bed linen needs replacing a bit threadbare and towels rough due to over washing. All are mostly cosmetic and would not stop us from returning we loved our stay. ❤️

A beautiful spotlessly clean home in a great location near Burriana Beach. 10 minutes walk downhill to beach with a great selection of bars and restaurants and a small supermarket which had everything you need. A larger Mercadona was close by and owner, Henrik, kindly provided a shopping trolly which is very useful if you have no car. (Plenty of parking outside property)Comfortable beds including the sofa beds. House is 3 stories with smaller self contained apartment on lower floor with en suite with walk in shower and air con in bedroom and a lovely terrace off the living/kitchen area. The larger apartment is accessed from the pool area with kitchen/living area on this floor, stairs opening from living room to bedroom with en-suite with shower over bath. Balcony off bedroom with table and chairs and Aircon. There is another large balcony off the living room which has a canopy and is great for eating and evening drinks. We loved this balcony. Pool area is small just about fitting the four sun loungers and Table and chairs with umbrella. Pool was small but beautiful and great for relaxing. Please note it is about 4 foot one end and slightly deeper at far end so for children who cannot swim they will need flotation aids. There is no WC at pool level. Having the different patio areas and balconies was brilliant , there was always somewhere to go to relax in the shade. And the bougainvillea around the property was beautiful. Off the pool area was a small storeroom with great washing machine and clothes airer. Beach chairs and umbrellas for use at the beach and some buckets and spades. Lovely touch by the owner. We had a fantastic two week stay in this beautiful house and highly recommend it for a holiday. Great communication from Henrik, who always responded quickly.

There was nothing not to like about this property. ❤️But just a note about the general area, Nerja/ Burriana Beach is a very hilly area with houses built into the hills so majority of houses have a lot of steps and there is a hilly walk back up from the beach. So for people with mobility issues a car or mobility scooter is probably a good idea. My husband who has both mobility and respiratory difficulties did struggle but having a car was a god send and allowed him to get around.
