The food and drinks at the George were excellent. Great menu, good selection of beers and craft beers. Lovely deck by the river to eat outside. Accommodation is simple - shared bathroom, with sandstone walls. The room we had was small and suspect that they all are, but what you get is a step back in time to a mid 1800's Inn.
I didn't realise the bathrooms were shared, but really the value was exceptional and the room very comfortable. Other than that there was nothing I did not like.

Litter bin in the room had not been emptied after the previous traveller. Needed a better pillow. The one provided was very flat

Comfortable and clean room & clean amenities
The walls are very thin, so we could very easily hear the people in the room next to us
