Quartier Libre Madeleine

Great location for getting around the city and seeing the sites of Paris. Great restaurants in area. All the staff was very quick to answer questions and communicate. Surprisingly fast! I appreciated that they saved items we forgot in a drawer for us. Wonderful quiet apartment that was very restful and comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen with great pod coffee maker. Grocery store less than a block away.

Entry was a little difficult as you walk through a restaurant work area and then have to carry bags up a few steps to the elevator. The stairs up are dark until you get to the second set of stairs when a light comes on. Also the rug on the stairs was worn. Once in the apartment, it is a modern, clean and well stocked for kitchen use. Two bathrooms are great but only one toilet for 2 couples.

An exceptional stay! The apartment was absolutely wonderful ! so clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared. It was clear that the hosts had genuinely thought of everything a guest might need, which made the whole stay feel easy and comfortable. Everything was well taken care of, and the attention to detail really stood out. I truly appreciated the cleanliness and the feeling that the apartment had been prepared with the guest in mind. I hope they continue to maintain this wonderful standard, because it makes such a difference. I would be very happy to stay here again!

The only thing I did not like during my stay was the location of the garbage bins. Unfortunately, the bins were placed directly in front of the main entrance, and the smell was quite unpleasant. My studio was also located on the ground floor facing the courtyard, and there were additional garbage bins placed directly next to my room while waiting for collection. I feel that the bins should remain inside the designated garbage room until the collection time, rather than being kept next to guest rooms or the main entrance. I hope this can be addressed, as otherwise the stay was excellent and the apartment itself was exceptionally clean and well prepared.

Rooms are great, clean and well furnished. All necessary equipments are available.

The common areas are in a poor state of upkeep. The reception inexplicably doubles as a restaurant, which means cooking odours spread through the lobby and stairwell. Our room on the first floor was consistently filled with the smell of pizza each evening, and the restaurant’s music began at eight in the morning, making it difficult to rest.
