Ipoh The Cove Hillside Stay, 5 min to Ipoh Town

Staying at The Cove Hillside Ipoh was a refreshing escape, especially if you’re looking for something peaceful yet still close to the city. The hillside setting gives a nice sense of privacy and calm, with cool air and greenery that makes it feel slightly removed from the usual Ipoh bustle. The unit itself was clean, modern, and well-maintained, with a comfortable layout that’s suitable for both short stays and longer getaways. Facilities were decent, and the overall environment felt secure and family-friendly. What stood out most was the balance between convenience and relaxation—you’re just a short drive away from Ipoh’s food spots and attractions, yet far enough to unwind properly at the end of the day. The only minor downside might be the slightly winding access road, especially at night, but it’s manageable. Overall, it’s a solid choice for anyone visiting Ipoh who wants a quieter, more laid-back stay without sacrificing accessibility.

Overall a comfortable stay. Overall a clean place & worth for the price. I may choose to stay again but seriously the deposit refund process need to be improved.

The sofa has worn out with residues peeling - was covered but the cover was not a fixed ones. Ants at the living room. Check out time is 11am. I requested for extension till 12 and approved but the team should follow international std checkout time 12noon. There were no mirror in the room (only the bathroom). Inconvenient for me to get ready for an event (purpose of the stay). Still haven't received my Deposit refund >3days & surprised i had to initiate the conversation and follow up. Services work both ways. I hope the mgmt will take this seriously. Still waiting for the refund as i write this.

The check-in process and check-out process was way too simple and quick. The house was very nice, clean and comfortable. Provided projector with netflix in, which was unexpected. Totally loved it.

The facility to enter the room/house. It was pin key-in door, where the pin expires in 1 day-time, which we felt quite uncomfortable asking for the new password each day. Access card scanning would be suggested. Otherwise all good.

Excellent location with beautiful views and stunning sunrises. Easy check-in and check-out process. Water filter provided a very welcome bonus. Quiet and peaceful overall.

The property feels noticeably worn and in need of updating much grubbier in person than in the booking photos. Walls need repainting, and the bathrooms require retiling and re-grouting. Shower doors are dirty and look neglected. Very limited storage space for clothing and personal items. Gym access is restricted not available for to guests. Only one pool shared between three blocks, making it crowded and often noisy. Just a notice not negative: Pool swimwear rules are strict, swimming trunks are not allowed at this pool, so be sure to check requirements before you go.
