Great location, and you cant beat the view

Beautiful view, quaint, and nice patio set up to just sit there and sip your wine at sunset. It’s really located as everything there is. We loved it.

A tad bit hard to find even with GPS. We also didn’t see the requests about stripping the beds, etc until we were leaving. Usually the things requested come with the price. We do hotels, so that we don’t have to do anything, so maybe it came up in the wrong place on the search.

The perfect place to stay, whilst visiting Mont St Michele. The 2 bedrooms are a good size, and the terrace has an amazing view- the ideal place to relax away from the crowds.

A special retreat above the crowds.

Great view from the porch and located above the crowds. Staying overnight was as magical as we hoped to be there in the quiet. It is higher than the hotels but worth the climb. Be sure to lean back on the porch for the view of the golden St Michel. Sunrise was wonderful from the porch as well.

Mont St Michel is incredibly beautiful and striking - like something that you’d read about in a book or see in a movie. Chez Adele is near the Abbey at the top and has a magnificent view. We would have loved to have spent the night, but sadly we couldn’t due to unmade room conditions.

Upon arrival we found dirty dishes in the sink, dirty towels strewn about the floor, and beds with dirty sheets in a pile. We tried contacting the host Martin immediately, but no texts, emails, or calls were answered. If there were clean sheets in the space we would have made the beds ourselves and made the best of it, but no clean sheets could be found. Warning: Mont St Michel is an island requiring a 20-minute bus ride to access. It’s in the middle of nowhere. I wouldn’t take a chance on booking this space because we got trapped by the tide trying to figure it out and couldn’t leave / drive to a new place until 12:30AM. Based on our experience I would only recommend staying at a managed hotel on the island where there is staff to help you.

The place was disgustingly dirty, it had not been cleaned prior to our arrival and who knows how long before that. It was so poor that we did not stay the night after spending a lot money to have an enjoyable memorable experience celebrating a milestone birthday. It was a huge disappointment.

The apartment is located directly beneath the Abby and facing the Normandy coast to the West in the morning. We heard the church bells at 8am each morning and had the privilege to walk around on Le Mont before the crowds arrived. It was so peaceful.

If not able bodied, you could not stay here as numerous steps to arrive at the accommodation. Must bring food or items as after 4.30pm, there are no restaurants available in off season.

Stay Away! Apartment not cleaned before stay (dirty sheets, no toilet paper, wet towels, etc.)

The apartment was dirty on arrival - messy sheets on the bed (slobber stains on pillows), trash in the kitchen, no toilet paper (a particular problem since no shops on the island sell any) and used towels (still wet) hanging on chairs. We immediately contacted the host via Booking.com and were promised that actions would be taken to clean the apartment while we went to dinner (see photo). We messaged again upon returning from dinner but were ghosted by the host when trying to follow up. We highly recommend against staying at this apartment due to the insultingly bad customer service.

Our only suggestion is to put a small sign or placard on the exterior gate indicating Chez Adele.

Great property in a beautiful location that worked perfectly for our family of four.

The location is excellent, and the host's directions to access the property were very clear. We arrived at night, and we had no trouble walking through the island town to find the property. Two bedrooms and one bath worked perfectly for our family of four. We did not cook any meals, but the kitchen was nicely appointed.

This is not an issue with the accommodations, just information for future travelers - we recommend bringing food with you! We spent one night on Mont St. Michel, so we didn't bring any food to cook meals. As such, we were relying on online information regarding restaurant opening times, which were completely inaccurate for breakfast. The two restaurants that were open before 10am only served breakfast to guests staying at their affiliated hotels. We were not able to find anything to eat until 10:30am.

Un cocon douillet et raisonnable au coeur du Mont-saint-MIchel

Un gite de charme dans un logis ancien, très bien rénové, avec goût et modernité. L'accueil de Catherine est attentionné et chaleureux, il y avait même un sapin de noël installé pour nous sentir chez nous. Le gite bien chauffé et bien équipé, les lits sont très confortables et la vue géniale sur la baie, avec cette petite terrasse privée. La situation dans le Mont est idéale pour rejoindre les remparts ou l'abbaye toute proches. Et on apprécie également d'aider la mairie du Mont Saint-Michel avec ce gite municipal. Le petit déjeuner proposé est très varié et copieux pour un coût raisonnable. Une super adresse.

Très bon emplacement, proche des lieux "stratégiques". Hôte réactive et très agréable. Equipements confortables et pratiques. Un bonheur de visiter le Mont St Michel hors la foule compacte! Expérience que je conseille vivement. Nous étions ravis de cette escapade!

L'heure de départ initiale était de 10 h, ce qui était un peu tôt pour nous. Le problème des bagages se posait pour visiter l'Abbaye. Notre hôte a accepté que nous laissions nos bagages jusqu'à 11h 45, ce qui nous a plu et en plus, la météo était avec nous! Je trouve que c'est le seul point qui peut-être pourrait être amélioré.
