About this cottage rental
The Casa del Arriero (Muleteer's House) is located in a small village in Segovia, forming part of the Campiña Segoviana (Segovia countryside), located in the abbey of Párraces.
Sangarcía stands out for its Mudejar façades from the 17th century and for its linteled stone façades with religious inscriptions.
It is a warm and cozy house equipped with everything you need to spend a few wonderful moments enjoying nature, tranquility ...:
- 3 double rooms and 3 complete bathrooms.
- Living room with fireplace and TV.
- Full kitchen.
- Patio, porch and barbecue.
In the village:
- Bakery, with suckling pig and lamb roasted in a wood oven! Ask for availability, much richer and juicy than in a restaurant.
- Potato omelette and homemade portions at the Casa Alejo bar
- The village has a baroque church considered of cultural interest, with a baroque organ of the best preserved in Spain.
- Municipal swimming pool in summer
- Petrol station
- Medical consultation
- Pharmacy
- Food Store
- Frontón
Parties:
- August 5th: La Virgen de Las Nieves.
- 24th August: San Bartolomé with its traditional and centenary running of the bulls.
- In February the carnivals.
- New Year's Eve (open bar in the premises, with music and cotillion in the village itself).
In case of booking a single night (on weekends), the price will be 200 euros. For long weekends and Easter, 175 euros per day.

The property was perfect for my family (5). It was plenty spacious and comfortable. Carmen was wonderful and very accommodating about our arrival and giving us access as our arrival was changed numerous times due to airline issues. Carmen was available any time for questions or suggestions about things to do or see. A vehicle is a must at this rental (it may be possible without one as I didnt explore utilizing buses). The town of Sangarcia is a very small farming community with plenty of views of farm land and the mountains in the distance. We bought groceries in Segovia(30 minutes away) and cooked most meals as there is limited retaurants in town. The kitchen and BBQ was well equiped for cooking. Sangarcia was located such that we could visit many places in a day trip and enjoy the country side of Spain. Internet worked perfect, heated floors was very cozy and 3 bathrooms with showers was nice for a large family getting ready in the morning or at night. My family and I felt very safe and comfortable in Carmens home and the village of Sangarcia. Highly recommend Carmens rental for those who want to explore multiple places in Madrid and the areas around it and have a quiet country retreat to stay. Estuvimos un fin de semana por una celebración familiar en un pueblo cercano. La casa es una preciosidad, limpia y tranquila, con muchos detalles muy cuidados. Tiene un patio que es una auténtica delicia de tranquilo, la pena es que no tuvimos más tiempos para disfrutarlo. Su dueña tiene una atención exquisita. Las fotos no le hacen justicia, es mucho más bonita. Muy muy recomendable.
