About this house rental
Gite in a house adjoining that of the owners. Independent access by an external staircase (6 steps). Entrance directly into the living room-kitchen lounge area (pull-out sofa with 2 single beds), pellet stove (manual recharging). By 5 steps from the living room, access to the separate WC, bathroom and the 2 bedrooms (1 double bed 140 x 190 cm / 2 bunk beds, 2 single beds which can be twinned into 1 double bed 160 x 190 cm). Terrace and land. Private parking for 3 cars. Cellar serving as a storage room for skis and bikes. 4 km from the village station of La Féclaz, this country house located on the edge of a small road enjoys a magnificent panoramic view. Its terrace equipped with garden furniture and deckchairs is an invitation to relaxation and contemplation, while the children will enjoy the vast natural terrain. Following in the footsteps of her parents, who have been members of the label for 20 years, Célia and her husband Teuira are now embarking on the adventure of holiday rentals. This family home has been completely restored with a pure mountain feel. The plus of La Guytoune: the panoramic terrace and the vast grounds!

This is a lovely peaceful gîte with pretty mountain views. A well-equipped property, with nice furnishings and a good kitchen. Comfy beds and adequate heating for those chilly mountain evenings! You definitely need a car here, placed as it is, but it’s great for hiking and a 30 minute drive from Aix les Bains and 50 minutes from Annecy. Small gripes: Only one mirror (in the bathroom) in a property which sleeps 6. It would benefit from a mirror in the bedroom. Annoying automatic lights in the stair area and WC. Perhaps it’s a safety feature, but it’s too bright in the middle of the night for WC visits. Pellet stove is cosy, but very noisy so it’s hard to watch TV when it’s on. The main annoyance was the fact that the listing did not specify linens and cleaning were not included. The gîte is managed by a company, so the fault probably lies with them and not the host with this omission. We arrived without bedding or towels, which the host kindly provided when it was mentioned, but I had carefully checked the gite listing on the Vrbo app prior where there was no mention of this. Additionally, come check out time the host ‘reminded’ us we had to clean the property as it wasn’t included. Nowhere up until that point had there been mention of this need - not on the terms and conditions in the listing, nor at time of booking. I don’t mind cleaning not being included but feel this should be made clear during the booking process.
