Comfortable rooms, updated, and enjoyed having a patio to sit and relax. Although the location was not in the tourist district, we preferred this. Parking was available. Tourist area was a short drive away and there was a bakery, mini market and coffee shop all within 2 blocks of the property.

Beds were a bit hard and uncomfortable.

Very nice rooms, friendly owners who gave a lot of inside recommendations and overall just perfect price quality!

Our stay at Golden Birds Hotel was honestly one of the worst travel experiences we’ve ever had, and it feels important to share this so others don’t go through the same disappointment. The biggest issue by far was the location. It is absolutely nothing like what was shown or suggested in the listing. The hotel is isolated, far away from any restaurants or shops, making it incredibly inconvenient for anyone who actually wants to enjoy their stay in Naxos. Instead of being in a lively or welcoming area, it is surrounded by an abandoned-looking neighbourhood that felt unsafe and depressing to walk around in. The property sits right next to large rubbish bins, which gave off a terrible smell that spread through the entire street every single day. Coming and going from the hotel was unpleasant and really set a negative tone for the whole trip. The description and photos on Booking made us think we were getting a charming place to stay with easy access to the island, but in reality we felt completely misled. There was no atmosphere, no convenience, and nothing around to do without arranging long and expensive transfers. It was the opposite of the relaxing island holiday we were expecting. The room itself was no better. It was very small with a strange and uncomfortable layout. The sink was not even in the bathroom, it was awkwardly placed outside, right next to the TV. The bathroom was tiny, and every time we used the shower the water would flood the entire floor because of the lack of space and poor design. Housekeeping would only change the towels every two days. Overall, this hotel is not what it advertises itself to be. I strongly recommend Booking takes a closer look at how it is being promoted, because the current listing gives a false impression. For fellow travelers: if you’re coming to Naxos to actually enjoy the island, avoid this hotel. There are plenty of other places much better located, more welcoming, true to their descriptions, and not obscenely overpriced

Beautiful room, cozy design and very clean!! The hotel is 15 minute away from Naxos ‘Chora’ but 2 min drive if you rent a car/bike! Very quiet neighbourhood, and next to a cafe, 5 minute away from a 24 hour kiosk, pharmacy and food! Definitely recommend! Lastly, the host was in touch with us before our arrival, recommended some good places for food, drinks!

Everything as advertised, very well thought building and of course parking nearby

Location was good but around the property not so many options for coffee or breakfast, supermarket nearby

the hotel was very clean, and the staff were sweet and helpful. We really appreciated how well they treated us, and we’d be happy to come back!

We stayed for 5 nights and ended up changing rooms 3 times. At first, our room wasn’t ready due to overbooking, but we were given a better room as an apology. Later, when moved to our original room, it had a cold and unpleasant smell. Fortunately, the staff responded quickly and kindly helped us find a much better room.

Beautiful modern room exactly as the pictures suggest , very comfy bed and pillows and a coffee machine and a sandwich toaster 15mins walk from the port (if you ignore google maps 😆 it was shorter ) Little bakery next door Only stayed 1 night but would also recommend for longer stays Good recommendations for where to eat from the host

Might be a bit tucked away for some but seemed to have similar properties around , didn’t do a beach so can’t how easy that would be but the host said a bus or 15 mins walk

New (renovated?), modern, spacious. Walking distance to town and nearest beach ( 15-20 min), a few minutes to bus stop to more distant beautiful beaches or port. Bed was more hard but still not too hard ( I prefer softer), but slept well. AC worked well and could operate quiet
