We feel cheated out of a quiet summer holiday.
The modern clean exterior and interior decoration and furnishings.
We had identified it was opposite a large boat yard, we asked if it was a quiet location and assured `yes, it’s a very quiet and peaceful location`. Its not ! It was horrendous! https://we.tl/t-PwbyVXz7aU They should off told us that local building work and the boat yard was all operating at full capacity. 8 am on our first morning the noise started, the boat yard opposite in full operation, large lifting hoists, reversing bleepers and industrial grinding and pressure washing, sometimes going on until 6.pm. This noise went on for most of our 12 day holiday. if that noise was not going on it was replaced by builder work in the area and the dredging of the river which was also going on for the whole time. We were unable to sit out on the patio without raising our voices to be heard, let alone listen to music. It’s also close to a bridge for the main road into St Tropez with constant road noise. It may be able to sleep 8 but the patio and downstairs can only really cope with 4, only 2 sunbeds! we were a 4 so 2 had to sit on chairs all day! I would seriously consider staying at this villa, they were not honest in advance with the noise description for the time of our stay. If we even had a vague idea of the noise for the price, we would of booked elsewhere. We may have been unlucky with our dates 9th june -21st June? but the owner refuses at accept what we are saying and sympathise with us, hence the now honest review. Even the Host could not believe how bad it was. Booking.com also state a E500 euro deposit, we were demanded to pay E2600 which took a week to be returned, after many requests https://we.tl/t-PwbyVXz7aU
