Boavista Luxury Villas

Perfect house for our stay in Porto. Amazing hosts and so helpful to any questions we had. Will definitely be back!

We stayed at Boavista Luxury Villas while in Porto for Primavera Sound and had a great experience. It was such a nice place to come back to after long festival days being quiet, comfortable, and with plenty of space to relax and recharge. The villa was very clean, well equipped, and felt much more personal than staying in a hotel. The Boavista location was also really convenient: easy to get around the city, grab food or coffee nearby, and still enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep away from the festival crowds. Everything was smooth from check-in to check-out, and the host were friendly and helpful throughout. We’d definitely stay again, especially for another weekend in Porto with friends.

The location of the property was great. The outside bit was brilliant to sit and eat breakfast, very nice. The facilities nearby was good, with supermarkets and bus stops/tram station in walking distance. The beds were comfy enough and the linen/towels were good quality and the bathroom was nice. It was really good and handy to have a dishwasher and a washing machine on the property for our disposal. Nice wooden floor and stairs. Responsive host who is available most of the time and helped us send back an item we had left behind on the property, very grateful for that good service. Good to have a kettle and a toaster. Baby cot was very nice and comfortable. The cleanliness was good and the fridge was nice and clean and big.

There are three properties next to each other that are owned by the same host. We stayed in no. 15 and I would not call this a luxury property at all. We had an ant infestation with tiny little ants coming in through several holes in the wall and going everywhere on the ground floor, including inside the kitchen cupboards and kitchen counter. A few days into the stay the ants climbed up the stairs and were in the bathroom and staircase and everywhere in the spare room with the single bed, they also went in our suitcases we had there. There was nowhere to keep stuff to keep it away from the ants. The ground floor was very damp and smelled strongly of damp. The floor rug and downstairs couch was smelling the most, luckily no one had to sleep on that pull out couch. The washing room was also very damp and smelled strongly. The skirting boards downstairs were removed and there were holes drilled all over the floor, maybe because of a previous water leakage or damp. There was air fresheners everywhere to cover up the damp smell but they did not work, of course. We have photos and videos of all the ants. It was definitely not a comfortable stay with ants everywhere. The kitchen was also very sparsely equipped with hardly any dishes, no bottle opener and only tiny cups to drink from. But it randomly had stuff as a blender so you can't drink tea but you can blend a smoothie. The host told us they would reimburse some of our stay for the ant infestation and that happened one month later, once we left this review. We got an AI generated email asking us to update it, so I guess you have to complain or leave an honest review if you actually want to be reimbursed by Booking.
