Everything! The location is amazing, the place is spotlessly clean, and it has everything you could possibly need. The owner, who is an absolutely lovely lady, has thought of every little detail, from kitchen appliances to dog poo bags. We couldn’t have asked for more!

There is no restaurant near the location and you might have to travel more than 30 minutes to reach any good restaurant

Fabulous views across Lake Vyrnwy. Delightful easy walk close to the lake to the "Giant's Hand" sculpture (which should be better known!) Very pleasant and caring host greeted us shortly after arrival, but was otherwise unintrusive (as we prefer). Well-equipped and cottage of a good size (we decided to take advantage of separate bedrooms during the heatwave!) Three separate shower rooms (two ensuites, plus a large downstairs wet-room - very handy for dog owners on muddy days! Dinner at the Lake Vyrnwy hotel (a short drive away) was excellent, although grand surroundings were matched by the grand bill.

Cottages were close to a field of sheep, so the atmosphere could be somewhat agricultural (easily ignored, however). The nearest shop for comestibles was more than an easy walk away and one paid for the convenience it provided, although the proprietor was super-friendly and helpful. The Lake Vyrnwy hotel did not allow dogs inside - rare these days - so we had to eat lunch on the terrace with the sun beating down while we were unprotected by any of the several strangely ill-placed umbrellas fixed to the surrounding barrier. (We were there during a heatwave, perhaps not usually a problem in Wales!)

Location is amazing, nice size and very comfortable, well kitted out for the most part.

Internet was pretty awful, the three cottage’s are adjoined and smells from cooking were strong from one side, also it’s not intimate…. If other places are occupied then even sitting outside you will be joined by strangers
