Cae Bitfel - Cottage

Really lovely, modern and clean on the inside. Plenty of parking available. A 10 minute drive from Lake Vyrnwy. I am very happy with our stay!

The sofa wasn’t the most comfortable. The location is good for visiting the lake which was the purpose of the trip but we struggled to find many places to eat around although the host did leave some recommendations which was lovely.

Could maybe do with a door mat by the door for the dog and boots :) door blind was broken but wasn’t an issue

We throughly enjoyed our stay in the pod. It was spotlessly clean with everything we needed for a quiet relaxing stay. Situated in a lovely peaceful spot, short drive to the village which had plenty of amenities. Ideal place to stay as a base and explore the surrounding countryside. Lake Vrnwy is a short drive away a place I have visited many times but never get tired of. The pod has a microwave, hob and inter-grated fridge in the kitchen area. We stayed at the end of March and the pod was warm and cosy the electric radiator kept it lovely and warm in the evening and it maintained the temperature. Catherine was lovely and welcoming and we both enjoyed the homemade Welsh cakes which we thought was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend staying and we will definitely return.

There is nothing we did not like.

The location was excellent, not far from the lake where we had planned to go kayaking. There's a lock box so once you arrive you can get the key from there to enter the property. It has all the basics you need. Set in a very very quiet location where you can relax, enjoy the views and have a great sleep without being woken up by the noises of a busy city. It's also some distance from the owners farm so you have complete privacy.

To be clear there's no oven onsite but a microwave/grill combi so when you bring food keep this in mind, also it's no instruction manual for it. There is a fridge but no freezer. The towel rail was not working so the bathroom was freezing but I'm sure that could easily be fixed.
