Very convenient, good value for money stay

Location was perfect as it was very close to the town centre

The apartment could do with some attention. There were a lot of fittings that need to be fixed properly (including the front door).

Great accommodation, a place to return

Good sized apartment, large windows, bright rooms. Good,comfortable beds, every room.has its on bathroom. Spotless clean and all the facilities in place. Great location and amazing wiew from my window. The host was really responsive, even offered us an early check in wich is really rare and highly appreciated. A nice touch was a combo of sweets & biscuits, cofee, tea. This staying overcome my expectations, therefore i will definitely come back and recommend to friends and family.

Very spacious, very homely, love that it’s got the modern look. Beds are amazingly comfortable. Not really anything bad to say about it.

Disappointing

No instructions provided on how to locate keys for property or location of parking bay. Apartment finished to a poor standard, cheap uncomfortable mattresses on beds, no shower fitted on one of the showers. Apartment door looked as if it had been damaged previously, only a yale lock on the door which did not feel very secure. Lesson is you get what you pay for! Would not return here.

A few easy fixes would turn an average stay into an excellent one

It’s a very spacious apartment in a good location so just a short walk to the centre. The kitchen looked well equipped but we weren’t there long enough to use anything so can’t comment on any of the appliances. Even though the beds were creaky they were comfortable.

There is no shower head in the second en-suite - if there is a shower it should be in working order. Looking back at reviews this has been mentioned many times and should have been fixed. We weren’t able to use the WiFi as the network wasn’t visible to join it. Guests In the main bedroom said the door wouldn’t close properly and had to use the door stop to keep it closed. They also didn’t use the lock on the en-suite as it was a bit dodgy. I was unsure of parking options for extra cars and contacted the host through booking.com and by email but never received a reply. There is only one parking space but Mayorhold Shoppers’ Multi Storey is less than a 5 minute walk and is a reasonable price. A second key would be useful for multiple people staying as you need the fob to access the building and need the key to be able to shut the door as you leave.

Overall, It was a pleasant apartment for the short time spent

The location was not bad as it was within a centre of the town. The facilities were good with its ensuite

Provision of extra car park for other friends would have made it a 5 star. Also more clarity of how to dispose refuse would have been lauded.

Good and spacious two bedroom apartment

Property was lovey and spacious. It was presented well and smelled good, appreciated the hosts small touches of wash products and chocolates.

There were no shower heads in the bathrooms so was difficult to wash our 2 year old as the water came out too aggressively from the spout. The two futons in the living room are not super comfortable to sit on, so i am surprised that they are classed as sofa beds. Also the mattresses for single beds are too springy and felt very uncomfortable to sleep on

It was kept tidy and pretty clean and the property itself smelt fine.

The WiFi did not work at all and the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable.The window was broken and in one room the shower head was broken off which made it very unfortunate to shower in.The first day when we tried receiving the key the worker was very rude and kept cutting the phone and didn’t give us the information we needed to stay here she spoke to us rudely.

The location was at the heart of the city centre. With a gated entrance and a concierge service the benefits in terms of security was great.

Ok for a night if you can find the apartment

It had a bed and shower

Took us an hour to find the property get the keys and then get into the apartment. Basic but clean the sofa bed is not comfy enough to sleep on and the single beds mattresses are ok. Only one parking space allocated and when we got there someone had parked in it. Also could not get hold of contact as we really struggled to find the apartment. The lift down to the car park have to press the - then 1

Not worth the money, disappointing!

The apartment was spacious and the kitchen was well equipped.

Finding the keys to the property was a nightmare and despite being sent pictures as to where the padlocked key safe was padlocked to a railing it felt like some sort of bad treasure hunt! As we had arrived before the check in time and had been to the food and drink festival, we had to leave our car in the nearby pay and display car park so we were on foot. The area felt hostile with several undesirable individuals hanging around the entrance to the gated car park where we had to gain entry. The apartment itself was ok, spacious and in fairly nice decorative order but there were many things that let it down and I think it’s nowhere near worth the money: - the bedding on the double bed was creased and stained with a pen mark. The pillows were absolutely awful, really lumpy and with no pillow protectors on. There were four of them and not one of them was decent. I had the worst night’s sleep I have had in a long time and had to listen to shouting off and on from the street outside from 1 till about 3am - the toilet pan in the en-suite double room was disgusting, limescale stained and really unpleasant to discover - the toilet seat in the loo off the hallway was broken - no bedside lamp despite there being power points next to the bed, there was a bedside lamp opposite the bed which one needed to get out of bed to switch in and had a ridiculously bright bulb -intermittent dripping noise from the toilet cistern in the twin bedded room -no plug for the kitchen sink - the “sofas” we’re just basically two metal sofa beds and horrible to sit on - creaky doors that were crying out for some WD40!

2- bed Apartment with 2 En-suite bathrooms

It was very handy to have separate bedrooms with their own En-suite bathrooms. The apartment was well equipped and clean and the owner had kindly left tea, coffee, etc. as well as small milk cartons & sweets! :-) The remote check-in was straightforward & secure parking was appreciated. The owner kindly let us check-in slightly early.

It's in quite a run-down area and next to a busy road (although the windows limit the noise when closed)

the cooker i could not get working but they very kindly came out and got it working for me, it was very difficult to find where the key was kept but after calling the owner this issue was resolved

Sorry, but it’s not good enough!!

It was clean and spacious.

Although pictures and instructions were provided, the key was still hard to find. Once inside, the first thing that hit me was the various smells of cooking in the hallway. The bottom lock was loose. I entered the flat, then couldn’t get out as the bottom handle had completely broken and we were then stuck in the apartment. I called the owner, who was quick and efficient to answer who called a locksmith , to come. It took over an hour, which meant we couldn’t leave until he’d fixed it. The window lock in the sitting room was also completely broken , but was not a security risk as on the 3rd floor. The owner did give us a £50 refund, which was appreciated, but as we were meeting there for only one evening, spoilt our stay.

Initial key problems well managed .

It was light and warm with plenty of space

The key process was a frustrating experience with the keys missing on arrival. This took 2 hours to sort out but to the owners credit they turned up with a locksmith and changed the locks and also financially compensated us for the inconvenience. The grill also broke when we were there.

Shower rooms and fixtures and fittings very contemporary . Beds were comfortable and closeness to town centre 15 mins walk away

Stunning apartment in a central location with helpful host

The place was beautiful, big and bright, in a location that was perfect for what we wanted. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms had chests of drawers for storage. We appreciated the free parking space and helpful concierge. We would love to visit again and highly recommend it.
