Relaxing, comfortable and beautiful home, in a stunning area of Wales

We loved this beautiful renovated property. Fabulous quality throughout, stylish and decent tv’s with sky, Netflix etc (which can be rare in a short term rental). Vast crockery and glasses, pretty good kitchen equipment too. I would suggest adding baking sheets and an air fryer for easy quick meals. Locks and loo roll holders for the bathrooms would benefit the property. Also, for such a lovely property, the towels were tiny and very thin. Location is great, very near the high street but lovely and quiet. Parking is limited but only about a 3 minute walk to local on street parking. Very close to Bala lake and some lovely walks. The chippy nearby was great, as was the Sunday lunch in the nearby Plas Yn Dre. Finally, the property manager Elly was amazing, great instructions and communications and supported an early check in and late check out, which meant we could go on a decent hike and then shower and pack before our Sunday lunch. We would definitely return if in that neck of the woods again. Highly recommend!

We had an incident with a neighbour who yelled at one of the guests when he took our dog into the yard to do his business, on a lead and poo bag in hand. The shouting caused our dog to bark and get upset and then she shouted at our guest saying the barking had scared her child. She then proceeded to message the property manager to complain, who then messaged me to let us know. Our guest was calm and respectful at all times but there appears to be some history of the neighbour getting annoyed with guests as it’s a shared yard. We only took him out the back once as he wouldn’t ‘go’ when we took him for a walk around the area due to nervousness. Needless to say, if you take your dog, don’t use the back yard for your dog, for any reason & you’ll be fine. It didn’t spoil our weekend in the beautiful location, just tarnished it a littlei.

Communication was great. Property was lovely.

There’s a drain just outside the front door that makes a loud noise whenever cars drive over it. All the bedrooms face the front so although not the property owner’s fault, gets very annoying after a while.

An ideal base from which to explore the area.

Very comfortable and in a great location. Surprisingly quiet for being in the town centre.

Nowhere to sit outside but this was known when we made the booking.
