The location was gorgeous. It was like a little fairytale cottage next to the river where we did have a little paddle!
The cabin had everything we needed for a couple of nights and we would have been fine staying for an extra couple of days. There is very little in the area for food etc so make sure you bring supplies from the local town.
There is quite a walk from the car park to the cabins but they do provide trollies to transport luggage etc. This should probably be advertised for people with access issues.
Overall we loved it and we will be back for sure. A hidden gem..
Plug next to bed didn't work.
Little touches like a hook for towels in the bathroom would be lovely.
A lamp would have been good for night times. Currently you have to get into bed in the pitch black because the light is at the other side of the room.
Heating is either boiling hot or off. Not easy to work out how to turn the temp down.

It was clean tidy had just what we needed for our stay
It was in a lovely location very quiet
Was slightly too far out the way for us but that was our fault we didn’t realise

The area was beautiful, Quirky. The idea of the hut is great.
It was very unkept. I'm not sure a cleaner had looked at it in a while. The cobwebs were on the door frames and from the roof. We washed the sofa down before sitting on it as there were marks. There was a razor left from the previous person. It was so cold with only a small panel heater that wasn't fit for purpose. The bed! , the mattress is knackered. The previous reviews were not exaggerating, yet it's never been changed? It is raised in the middle and flat along the edges. Small wasp nest in the bathroom. Sheet of metal outside on the side of the hut that banged all night. This place could be amazing, and yet it was disappointing. For almost £150 a night I expected a lot better.

The logde was amazing and big enough for my family... good space, excellent bedding areas. Great facilities within.. perfect for that stress free stay.
Great wildlife outside, friendly bats, dears visited and the sound of the river was very calming.
Mosquitoes outside, but...we came equipped with jungle formula Mosquito repellent as it works well... didn't get bit once... and never came near us..

The setting was glorious, the cabins were roomy and comfortable.
We are foreign tourists who wanted to try the glamping experience.
We are used to camping and roughing it and were expecting this to be a step up. It wasn’t.
We had two cabins. One cabin the mattress required a pillow under the mattress to stop you rolling out of bed.
The shower head in the second cabin was split and sprayed water onto the wall which totally soaked the toilet paper.
There was nowhere to hang anything, hooks in the wall would have been good.
Sink plugs and dish clothes would also have been nice.

Located in the woods next to a river. It was a fun place to stay.
An extra pillow would have been nice. Also, no hand soap to wash your hands. Bring your own toiletries.

Nice, tiny cottages in a very quiet place. Hot in sunshine, cold in the night (but heating can be turned on). Facilities just right, hot water available.
Ideal basis to discover Loch Ness and around.
A bit hard to find.
Was hard to unlock/lock the door.
The towers were a bit smelly :-(

A nice lodge with a private terrace and a view over the river.
The fact that during the night, the toilet reservoir erupted with water overflow and we had to mob the place continuously for 3 hours in the night, states of bad maintenance. We didn’t even got compensated for the stress. The roof the neighbour lodge was leaking, so their night was quite stressful as well

The cabin was nice with all the facilities like wifi, TV and kitchen.
The mattress are very old and not comfortable. Did get backache and no proper sleep. The cabin are vulnerable to weather conditions and we had to power for entire night with no emergency lights or heating provided.

The location was superb, serene, peaceful by the River, fresh mountain air with fresh trees, pine, ferns. We went into the river also. Perfect for family of 3. The wooden cabin and cabins around me were very beautiful. Good got water, kitchen items to do a light meal and kettle for a warm drink. Dish soap was there and perfect for us. My son 6 loved the cabin and entire location. Close to Lockness, Co.op and its high street along with all tourist stuff and good drive for Isle of Skye.
Our red cabin could have been cleaner, dust under the beds, sides, cobwebs as you enter and in Corners also. Towels could have had a better fragrance than the dull moisture trapped. Door hocks outside the kitchen door could have been screwed back on before the guest left earlier. Landlord needs to ensure the wiring in bathroom has metal casing. As a landlord myself I noticed that which could be an issue in the future.

The location was quiet and peaceful.
The shower was cold for our entire trip, staff said they would fix but then never showed up and then ignored messages.
The whole place felt a bit run down, the patio doors felt like they were falling apart.

Wonderful location, clean and spacious enough for us despite being the smaller lodge, which I was concerned about prior to arrival. Everything in good condition and well maintained.
The communication with our host was very abrupt and somewhat terse, or came across that way. However any questions we had were answered promptly and it ultimately didn't matter as we had a wonderful time and would visit again.

All
There was a towel next to the toilet on the floor . May have been a leak . Also, I think there is a wasps nest in the door canopy .

The unique set up of the venue and the decking out the front.
Lack of towels, no hand towels. The window was leaking badly with the heavy rain. No brush to tidy up with

I like the structure of the lodge we stayed in. I didn't know that this is a self catering facility when I booked. Anyway, I was surprised that there is a washing up liquid in the kitchen and half a bottle of hand wash in the toilet/shower. We couldn't find the accommodation but when I called, the staff was very helpful in guiding us to the accommodation. There was a sauna inside our accommodation which is a plus. When I text to let them aware that the TV is not working, they immediately came and put a new battery.
The sauna only worked on the first day of our arrival. It never worked until we left. We can't watch TV because there was no basic TV program to watch the news. Everything is on app. The toilet seat is loose. The WIFI is free but it doesn't work as it says poor network connection. We can only communicate with others when we are in restaurants with free WIFI. As soon as we're back, we are isolated. We are elderly people and there are no rubber/plastic bath mat to stand on aside from no grab rails. The staff took our comments on this on board so hopefully, when they install the grab rails, there will also be somewhere to hang towels inside the shower room as there is none at present. I thought the place is clean at first glance but before we left, I checked if we dropped anything in the place and when I bend down to look under the bed, there were empty bottle of drink, some plastic thing which I was not able to confirm what it was as I felt dizzy bending down and bits of papers. Had they supplied broom and dustpan, I would have swept the floor under the bed.

Great cabins in the woods outside Edinburgh rush.
- All new appearance
- Great basic kitchenette. We even made some delicious meal.
- Comfy bed
- Huge Lounge seats to relax
- Tiny but OK WC and washing zone
As hosts sent a follow up message to let them know how to improve guests experience, here are some tips:
- If there is a force major situation like power blackout, would be nice to know it upfront.
- First impression arriving to the site was messed up area with construction stuff and cables, etc.

Beautiful milieu. Cute hobbit style lodge. Away from the crowds nestled in a wooded area right adjacent to a river.

Did not receive the room/beds booked and a complete lack of response from the proprietor on that

The lodge was really nice. The size is sufficient for 2 people. In the morning we enjoyed the singing birds and the wind in the trees. The street is some meters behind the lodges, but it isn’t really loud or annoying.
The bathroom looks new and was clean.
It would be really good, to have one bigger pot, to make some noodles and maybe a new mattress, because the the current one is quite worn out.

Cute cottage. By a peaceful stream in the countryside.
Never talked to or saw a staff person. The only directions provided were gps coordinates, which landed us in a sheep farmers garage. He was gracious and pointed us to the correct location. The doorways are quite short. I still have a scrape on my head from whacking into the bath door. Honestly, not worth the $$

The location was quaint being next to the river and short drive to the Loch Ness
The property was advertised as a Triple room with 1 double bed and 1 single Bed. When we arrived there was only 1 small double bed. The lodge could have also been cleaner as there was previous occupants debris under the bed, hair in the bed and used cloth and sponge left by the sink. Also thick cobwebs on the inside of the windows
The Lodge got very cold at night even with heater on as there is a large gap under the door creating a large draft. There was also no bin in the property

The cleanliness was awful. Mould in the fridge. Dirty crockery. Floor not mopped. Bare electrical wire in the bathroom. The bed felt like it was about to fall to bits. Lighting terrible. Light bulb missing.
I got moved at the last minute due to a hot water issue but you would think they would at least sense check the property that they were moving me too. Clearly that didn't happen. I had a wee look at the other properties whilst i was there. They didn't look much better to be honest although what they did have was mind your head notices due to the low clearance. My property didn't. I smacked my head various times. The 'patio' furniture is old and rusted and in need of replacing. Very basic for the price although the shower was excellent to be fair. I love this area so don't let this review put you off. Definitely come to the area. If the property was up to standard then I think it would still be over priced but that's the highlands for you. Always far to expensive. Finally the walk through the 'silver woods' as nice as it is needs lighting for evening arrivals and current guests that are coming back from a dinner out. It's plane dangerous with steep drops either side of the boardwalk. The car park (if that's what you would call it) needs tidied up. It an absolute dump and only a mater of time before punctures happen if they haven't already.

I couldn't find the site and when I did find it, I was walking through a forest in the pitch black. I am a woman on my own and travelling for business. When I got to the cabins there was not a cabin called "Nessie", I was getting a bit scared, so I drove back to Inverness and booked into a Guest House. I didn't actually stay at the cabins.
Couldn't find it in the pitch black and there was no contact number to phone to advise of my predicament. I tried to respond to the email I received but it bounced back. Not good if you cannot contact someone when you cannot check in!!!!

Rural location close to Loch Ness. Comfortable tiny home with great WiFi. Lovely deck area to sit in on a sunny day.
bugs!!! So many bugs on the first night.. make sure you have bug spray.... it is 6.5miles from town so make sure you have all your groceries with you. The linen was a bit scratchy on the beds. No hooks to hang up towels in the bathroom.

Location was beautiful. Set on a stream in a few miles out of town. Peaceful and private. A small but cosy and comfortable cabin
A few things needed to make more user friendly. No drinking glasses. No towel rails or hooks. Difficult in damp weather to keep the cabin dry with wet towels and clothes draped everywhere No doormat so walked straight into small floor area with wet feet. A long walk from car park to cabin. Ok in dry weather. Not so good in the rain. Stayed 5 nights. Only 2 towels A few extra towels would have been welcome as they remained damp the whole time. Only small things and easily fixed to make the experience more enjoyable

Loved the peaceful setting and the view of the river right out the front door. Place was so peaceful and relaxing, wish I coukd have spent some more time there to be honest
There was a few things that weren't major issues for us, the sauna inside the room didnt seem to work, there was a small leak at the kitchen drain and there may have been a wasp hive starting near the bathroom window area, none of this spoiled the holiday though, be very careful with following a sat nav as it took us a drive up a private farm land and the terrain wasnt suitable for the car as the stones scratched underneath the car, if you see the sat nav instructing you to cross a small metal bridge, keep driving past it and the lodges are about 1 mile down the road from this farm

Lovely peaceful area, loved sitting out and watching/listening to the wee burn right outside. Would be nice in winter or summer.

The lodge was clean and comfortable, set by a river and pretty remote.
I can only go on our stay at the time (Two lodges booked). Lodges were not completed. TV was still being installed in both our lodges and so no TV and so we missed the tennis and not so much more to do in such a remote area. We were informed that the TVs were not connected to anything and that a satellite system was being set up. It is a self catering lodge, but there were no washing up facilities, such as brush, cloths, washing up liquid etc. Liquid was left at our door when we mentioned it, but no dish cloths or anything else and so could not clean plates except with our hands. There are very basic facilities for self catering, like plates and knives and forks only. No complimentary tea or coffee available. Other lodges were still being built and or renovated and we were the only people on the site. There were saunas, but these didn't work. Parking is an open remote spot, just off the road. It was quite a walk from there to the lodges and had no lighting. We ended up parking nearer as there was no security for such a secluded car park. We paid £425 for two lodges for two nights. Although the lodges were not properly ready for guests, the small compact buildings were clean and comfortable, but shame we had to pay so much for something we were led to believe we're completely ready to stay in.
