The family who run the property are lovely and extremely helpful, and thier dog Sonny was a joy! The cabins were well appointed and beautiful. The swimming pool was great and they had bikes available to borrow.

During our visit there was an unprecedented heatwave and the wooden tree house was impossible to cool and much hotter than a ground floor accommodation. The owners provided a couple of tower fans, but we could not get the hut any cooler than 32C overnight with all windows open once the outside temp had lowered and the fans on full blast all night. There was also no respite from the 42C daytime temperatures, especially as it was a Sunday/Monday so nothing was open in Martillac after midday. We decided to leave after two nights to find some cooler accommodation as we did not feel like it was a safe to stay any longer. Given the high cost of the accommodation I would expect there to be air conditioning (even if portable units were provided in hot weather). Given the cabins all have hot tubs, any rationale around not providing aircon due to energy used would seem a little unjustified.

Le côté nature, les bungalow bois très joli, le spa

L’accueil pourrait être plus agréable et plus tôt Nous sommes arrivés de loin avec 40 mn (16h20 au lieu de 17h)d’avance nous nous sommes retrouvés coincés derrière un portail et après avoir sonné à multiples reprises on nous a signifié qu’il n’était pas 17 h qu’il fallait que l’on revienne plus tard. On nous a refusé l’accès au domaine. On comprend à la rigueur que les chambres soient pas prêtes mais on aurait pû au moins nous laisser entrer et poser nos affaires, il faisant plus de 34 degrés. Au final vous ne pouvez arriver qu’à partir de 17h et devez repartir vers 10 ou 11h, soit pas beaucoup d’heures par rapport au prix payé . C’est dommage car du coup on a été obligé de prendre la voiture sous la chaleur mais on s’est mis à l’abris au domaine viticole à côté où nous avons acheté du vin au lieu de l’acheter aux cabanes girondines En Outre toutes les cabanes étaient perchées dans les arbres sauf celle que l’on nous a attribuée, les photos de réservation montrent pourtant celle perchée, donc déception
