About this house rental
Escape to our oceanside home, just 15 mins from SF and SFO. Experience serenity at our unit, situated on the second floor of a duplex, boasting a tranquil backyard adorned with a charming fire table. Unwind to crashing waves, invigorating sea air; engage in whale watching, surfing, gliding, or savoring sunsets. Beach access awaits across the street. Recently renovated, our home features new smart appliances and technologies. Immerse yourself in coastal bliss at our enchanting retreat.
The space
Welcome to our charming upstairs unit, featuring two bedrooms and one bathroom. Access to our home is via a flight of 17 stairs. Rest assured, all beds are fitted with new foam mattresses, beddings, and pillows, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. Each bedroom is equipped with a smart home display, allowing you to effortlessly control appliances and lights using voice commands.
The open-style living room, kitchen, and dining area provide a spacious and inviting atmosphere. In the living area, you'll find games for entertainment, as well as a large 75-inch TV with Netflix for your viewing pleasure.
Please be mindful that we share a wall with our neighbor in the duplex. To ensure a peaceful environment, we kindly request that you keep noise levels low after 9 pm. For everyone's safety, outdoor security cameras have been installed and a video and audio recording will be triggered by any motion in the front of the cameras. If you are expecting visitors during your stay, please inform us in advance. Please note that any additional guests or pets, even if they do not spend the night, are subject to a fine of $200 per day per guest unless approved.
We are thrilled to have you as our guest, but we kindly ask that you carefully review and adhere to all house rules before making your reservation. Please be aware that breaking the house rules may result in a $500 fine. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Guest access
Guests will have the access to the whole apartment except one closet in the hallway, which has been used as our storage room.
Access code to the smart lock will be given before arrival.
Other things to note
Similar to the majority of homes in the area, our residence does not have air conditioning. However, with the cooler local temperatures, opening the windows allows ocean breezes to naturally cool the space.
Any unregistered guests or pets, regardless of overnight stay, will incur a fee of $200 per day per guest/pet, unless prior approval has been granted.
We are situated just one building away from the ocean, which means that the unit does not offer a direct ocean view.

Loved being across the street from the ocean! The parking is super easy and the host has excellent communication! Perfect two bedroom with comfortable beds, huge tv and dining table for six! Nice having washer and dryer and easy access to the freeway. Was nice being able to walk to restaurants, coffee shop and the grocery store.

Loved the location across the street from the beach! The house was very clean and the new appliances were great. The small town a few blocks away really comes to life on Friday and Saturday nights - but still has a small beach town vibe!

We had a great time staying here! The place is very clean and really cute. The location is close to stores and restaurants, which is nice.
We had four guests, and when we were getting ready for bed we could not figure out where the queen bed in the living room was. We could not pull out the couch, which we assumed would be a sleeper sofa. There was not a book with rules and details about the house to give us any information, which there usually is. We had to contact our host to ask about the fourth bed, and she let us know there was a blow up bed in the closet. Unfortunately there were not linens for this. That was disappointing, but other than that, we had a very nice stay. Also the unit is in back and does not have an ocean view, the listing makes it seem that it does.
