Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Town: The settlement of Killin has been inhabited for a very long time and is situated across the breath-taking Falls of Dochart at the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park in the Breadalbane region. Rock cup marks and stone circles provide evidence of a former population in this region. St. Fillan, who founded the mill that bears his name and founded St. Fillan's Day on the third Tuesday in January, brought Christianity to Breadalbane in the eighth century. Clan Campbell and Clan MacNab, two well-known clans, have a strong tie to the village. The Campbells had a stronghold at Finlarig Castle to the north of the community, and the MacNabs have an ancient burial site called Inchbuie close to the bridge over the falls.
