Fabulous

Amazing views, clean very cosy. It our 3 rd stay and we will definitely be back. We have stayed in standard room twice and first stay in superior and we would highly recommend either. We never like to leave. Close to the beach and fab cafe on corner and crusoes on the beach is amazing 🙂

Poor communication

Property looks amazing but didn’t get the opportunity to stay

The communication from the host was poor. This was booked for 3 months as a valentines surprise. On the Wednesday, prior to Saturday stay, booking.com prompted me to let the host know what time I would be arriving. I did. No reply. I messaged the host on the Thursday asking about parking and access to the property. No reply. On the Friday morning, I got a message from booking.com to say I had successfully cancelled my stay and the host would fully refund my payment!!! My whole weekend was planned around this stay and I certainly hadn’t cancelled it!! On the third attempt to contact the host, they replied to say they had cancelled it as there was a problem with the boiler! Now I’m aware that something like this is unavoidable at times, but I would have expected far better communication from the host to explain this predicament rather than cancelling the booking like this with no explanation.

Had a lovely stay.

Beautiful place with a lovely close sea view. The property was clean and tidy, with plenty of nearby eating places within easy reach. The owner was very cooperative and accommodating with our requests. We had a great stay and will definitely be back.

Beautiful place I think the biggest selling point of the place is the view …totally awesome but marred by the very window you need to look out at is internally stained or wet and no one other than a glazier can fix thank fully there were two others x

No frying pan or spatula but that wasn’t a huge issue but maybe something you might need to Think about also the plug which was hanging off the wall didn’t use it so Was not a concern xxx

Disgusting property. Smelled like marijiuana and damp. Confirmation by text form the host they "cover up the smell with spray". Hairs in the bed. Old toothpaste spit in the bathroom. Booking have been poor in their communication about this too. No refund even though we only stayed 2/3 nights, we left the morning after a late night arrival. Disgusting property, disgusting service from Booking. If a refund had been provided or Booking had been helpful in their response this review and the photo evidence could have been avoided.

Would be an excellent hub for a young couple on a weekend break

Location was excellent. TV is smart with all the apps needed. Kitchen has bits needed, airfryer, kettle, etc. I think this would be an excellent hub for people under 30 and outgoing.

Couches really uncomfortable so much we left early - was too hard to relax. Bathroom super small - ended up burning my shoulder and knee on the radiator, and having to keep my toiletries in the hall way. I think this would be an excellent hub for people under 30 and slim - which I am neither. I thought I was booking the other apartment - the one with the dining table and loads of couches - it's my own fault.

A very enjoyable stay visiting family.

The sea view was absolutely amazing. The apartment was so lovely with such nice furniture and such a nice touch that the table was set with plates, bowls and wine glasses as looked very classy. Very warm apartment too. Very good kitchen and bathroom facilities and comfortable bed. I would highly recommend the Priory as it is excellent value for money and in a great location of Tynemouth too. Would definitely book again.

stay was good other than the above comments, great views and easy location with parking

taps were the plumbed the wrong way round ie hot on the right strange massive damp on the wall in the sitting room obvious gutter/roof tile issue not very nice implies property is not looked after kitchen old mixed cutley very basic i would not stay for a week as hob old hard to work out. bedroom/sitting room old bed with only one side tavle why not put the bed central? broken blinds in bedroom and sitting room.

Very Poor

Location

Unfortunately my wife and I had the misfortune of booking Priory House in Tynemouth for two nights last week. We stayed less than one hour before booking in to a hotel around the corner. Most of that time was spent photographing and videoing the extensive issues. I am from Tynemouth and own property there which is rented out. I am disappointed that such a poor rental will reflect badly on the beautiful village. I have not witnessed such a ‘botch job’ in many years and I advise you to please read the 1 star reviews because sadly we did not, but having seen them now we can confirm they are accurate. I can list extensively the faults with this apartment but other reviews catalogue the issues well. However, I can confirm it was not clean, things didn’t work and everything has been generally botched together. I have spoken to Booking.com through last week and they have confirmed that they are undertaking a review of this listing given the negative reviews of so many guests. Hopefully the listing will be deleted so others do not have to endure such a stressful experience. Needless to say the owners of Priory House refused to refund our money but this was expected given their lack of attention to the property.

Lovely and spacious, clean with added extras- toiletries. Even tea,coffee and sugar available- very thoughtful left some milk for us in the fridge which was very appreciated. Situated facing longsands beach, views were amazing.

A great apartment in Tynemouth

Very comfortable. Nice living room with kitchen. Kitchen very well equipped & coffee, tea etc was provided. A lovely shower room. The TV had streaming services. I was able to park at the front door. The apartment was well situated and 7 minutes walk to the Main Street for restaurants and pubs. I made a late booking and the communication was excellent and the lockbox made entry easy.

Lovely for active non cooks!

Kelly was very responsive and helpful in answering our queries.The flat is generously sized (apart from the kitchen) and in an excellent location downsides. :- .It's on the 3rd floor with no lift and the hob in the kitchen is antiquated and didn't heat up enough. Also the freezer wasn't cold enough to freeze food properly, possibly because it needs defrosting. Provided you are fit and do only a little basic cooking, I would recommend.

Nice tall ceiling apartment/flat quite big. Lots of cutlery, bedding and pots/pans as well as added extras like free milk, toothbrush, radox etc.

Painful back and neck ache

The mattress was the worst and noisiest I've ever slept on, I tried the pull out bed which was slightly better but woke up in pain, the three toppers on the mattress don't make it any more comfy, it's a collapsed mattress. Lamp very dusty

It was like a home from home with a sea view

The apartment was great the view of the sea was amazing it was clean, easy to check in and out, comfortable and it had little extras like tea, coffee and even milk, also washing up liquid, body wash and hand wash we will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our short stay very well situated disappointed in the apartment thinking that I had booked Seaview can't complain as the apartment we got was well equipped and very clean

We will stay there again but with seaview apartments the owner and his brother a r a lovely people and really enjoyed our stay looking forward to next time

The sofabed was in the entrance (so I slept on the floor in the lounge) / the bathroom was off the bedroom so not convenient for me using the sofabed / the blinds were insufficient for sleeping / the windows were dangerous with no delimiters

Three generations visit- me, my daughter and granddaughter Fantastic view was marred by condensation in windows. Curtains in lounge and bedroom let in too much light to allow good sleep. Some curtains in lounge off rails. Bed in lounge impossible to use as it was so uncomfortable. No dish washer.- (hygiene) Access to bathroom through bedroom inconvenient especially during the night. No restriction on opening windows ( safety/legality??)
