Un luogo incantevole

Didn’t realise we were staying on a large country estate, awesome!! Ponies, deer, birds and scenery.

Cellotape’d up cap flap (take it off and board it up) and overpowering scent upstairs (nice but way too strong) two easy fixes to make it 10/10.

Il Cottege è in una proprietà bellissima e curata. Struttura accogliente e in stile. La collina è ventosa e con molte finestre. In cucina non manca nulla. Ruth ha molti riguardi per gli ospiti

Sarebbe meglio avere una vasca che permetta anche di fare la doccia.

The property was lovely & smelt gorgeous when we arrived. Loved the little jam, butter & milk in the fridge. Loved the ponies!

Take eye masks unless you like to wake with the sun (some had no blinds at all). The host wanted us to give a specific time for arrival, but that didn't work for us as we were exploring as much as we could & traffic was busy. She agreed to leave the keys (as they live on site) which was great. We went out for the evening & received a text saying that I had parked in the wrong place & to move the car...no signage to say where else & it was right beside the coach house.. We did, of course explore & found where we needed to move it to (we were staying 1 night!). Underneath the coach house was an outdoor loo, just before leaving i thought i'd pop in & use the facility (as you do!) & left my 10yr old in there. As I left, a lady carrying 2 bags was outside and started telling me off for using that toilet..!! I had no idea who she was and she was really q rude, I asked if she was Ruth (the host) & she said yes & continued to tell me I had no business being in there & then burst in on my daughter! I couldn't believe it & it totally ruined our experience. This could all have been so easily avoided by simply adding signage for both the guest parking & gardener toilet (even a sharpie on the door for goodness sake) There was a camera on the stairs by the door too (which is didn't realise on booking) & after receiving the text, we felt uncomfortable as though we were being watched (though we wouldn't have made for great viewing!) and it has honestly put me off ever booking a property with the host on site. Just a note to say we are a really respectful family & not the sort to not care, so the hosts attitude & behaviour left me & my daughter shaken, which was an avoidable shame.
