Mediocre home needs major TLC and maintenance
The location and access to the water. The dock. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Lots of board games and puzzles to use. There was a new washer and dryer for guest use. It has 2 mini-split AC units to cool/warm the house. Beautiful view
The house is well worn and needs maintenance. The windows and screens were filthy. The inside of the home is all wood with poor lighting. It was dark, especially on the steep and narrow stairs. All the baseboards and high wood surfaces were thick with dust. The kitchen didn't have enough water glasses. There were only 6 bath towels ( we had 8 family members) and only 1 beach towel for guest use. The sliding glass door out to the deck needs to be replaced. It doesn't slide well and makes a horrible grinding noise. It also doesn't lock. The wood indoor table was stained and well worn with only 6 chairs ( we had 8 family members). The outdoor furniture was horrible! Cushions flat and dirty with no support. They were worn out and should have been replaced a long time ago. The deck was also dirty with spider webs, tree droppings and pollen and needed a good pressure washing. The lawn hadn't been mowed in a long time. The grass was ankle high and always wet due to the automatic sprinkler system. The whole yard was completely overgrown and has not had any TLC in a long time. We paid a premium price ($7000) for 7 days in this mediocre home.
