This stunning fortified stone house dates back to the 13th Century and is known locally as Château Marcoux. It is situated 3km from the pretty French village of Beauville in the Lot et Garonne. The unique home sits on high ground amongst 17 acres of private grounds and woodland and enjoys breathtaking views over the surrounding valleys - these are best enjoyed from the three master bedrooms or from one of the numerous terraces. The main house is home to a comfortable and spacious drawing room, complete with open fireplace and exposed stone walls. The drawing room is adjacent to a large and well-equipped kitchen and diner. Both rooms have double doors which open onto a secluded walled terrace, which is ideal for alfresco summer dining. You will also benefit from a snug/TV room, a utility room and a shower room on the ground floor. Upstairs, the first floor has been cleverly designed in order to maximise the space and make use of the building's original height. Here you will find four bedrooms: two master bedrooms with an en-suite bath or shower room, a twin bedroom with wahbasin, and a double bedroom with washbasin.
