The location was peaceful and had so many things to see close by and lovely walks to suit all levels

We are not a fan of electric showers but fully understand the reason why they are very popular in UK

The location was great for getting to places. Smart TV was great to have for the evenings. Great array of kitchen appliances for cooking.

We weren’t aware as booking.com hadn’t made it clear that dogs were not allowed to be left alone in the property. When we first arrived, we’d had a long drive, dropped our luggage in the property, set up our dogs den up and went to get some food from the local Tesco (10 mins away). We hadn’t noticed the sign on the wall and hadn’t read the folders, we were just tired and hungry. In Tesco we received a call from the owner saying someone said we’d left a dog alone in the flat, I said yes and explained she was very well behaved and in her den. I felt like I was spoken to as a naughty child, the owner repeated the same thing about dogs not being allowed in the flat alone several times even though I’d made it clear I understood and didn’t realise and that it was noted. As mentioned, I’ve stayed in many places with our pooches and they’ve always been allowed to stay home alone, sadly we lost our boy recently so this trip was just with the one dog. We’ve stayed in many places and this hasn’t ever been a problem so we were limited as to where we could go and ended up having to get day care for our dog. If we had known, we wouldn’t have booked. We were only able to use the pool on site once due to this. The stairs were quite steep leading to the property, also slippery in the rain. Some of the kitchenware was a bit dirty, we had to wash it before we used it. I did feel as if we were being watched with all of the cctv everywhere. Didn’t feel private as there are lots of other properties in the complex. Bit like a housing estate.
