Appartement bien équipé, bonne literie. Emplacement central mais calme. Le garage et la possibilité de mettre les vélos à l'abri sont un plus !

What a gorgeous modern Gite in the heart of Meze! We had a planned meet with Anne and her husband on the street outside the Gite which made it easy to access the small but adequate garage for our car. The hosts were waiting for our arrival and walked us through the property giving us an excellent introduction to the property. The property is on the ground floor but we were never bothered by any of the upstairs inhabitants. Access to the garage is an "experience" as you find that you block the road while opening the garage doors but the locals are very patient and understanding. The Gite itself is modern , clean and very functional, with a clothes washing machine which is a must on long trips. The kitchen is well appointed and the bedroom comfortable and quiet. The garden does lack a little in sunshine but then were were there late in the season (October). We still got our clothes dry! WiFi is excellent. It is an easy 5 minute walk from the Gite to the quay area where there is a good range of bars and restaurants (bookings advised). A boulangerie is within an easy 2 minute morning's amble and the town has a great market day with plenty to eat, drink and wear on sale. If you are a seafood/ oyster lover, a trip to Atelier and Co is a MUST! Fresh shucked oysters in the middle of an oyster farm. Meze is a small town that offers easy car access to a wide range of local villages and cities, with even Carcassonne and the Camargue within an easy drive. A perfect south of France experience.

Die Lage war ideal, ganz nah am Hafen, mitten in der Stadt und in der Nähe von der Bushaltestelle. Trotzdem war die Wohnung sehr ruhig. Ein kleiner Balkon wäre phantastisch gewesen. Aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau.

Meckern auf sehr hohem Niveau: Mülleimersäcke und Spülmaschinentspps sollten zur Grundsusstattung gehören. Vielleicht auch ein paar Zusatzdecken für die Nacht wären schön gewesen. Wir hätten aber auch einfach danach fragen können!
