Cottage L'Americano

Great apartment, great location and equipped with everything we needed. Dani, the host, was very nice and offered help where needed. We had a great stay in Positano and would definitely recommend this place!

The view was amazing , apartment was clean and bright with a garden. It was great.

Exceeded expectations! So much space and had everything we needed, felt like we were in our own home with the privacy that this place offers. Our favorite part of the entire vacation was having coffee on the terrace in the morning for sunrise. The laundry was also a game changer after so much traveling. The host was also very knowledgeable and responsive. The place is high up so prepare for A LOT of walking (there IS a bus but we CHOSE to walk so it is doable if you’re willing) but that’s the lay of the land in positano!

Sea view from the balcony and design. but not from garden level/living area. No view of the city of Positano itself. The appartment is placed at the very top of Positano making it nice and quiet at night. You can walk the stairs down town/ to the beach. It works well once you figure out how to take the bus and thats a pleasant way of finding your way back to the appartment, however there could have been more thorough information on routes and how to but tickets on arrival.

You get the Sea view from the balcony only and not from garden level/living area. No view of the city of Positano it self. We went in early juni and got the morning sun but no late afternoon/evening sun in the garden. We ran out of gas and hot water for the shower after just one night stay. The housemanager had a certain tone and didn’t really take on the responsibility of making sure in advance, that the appartment was ready for us with enough gas for the stove and hot water for showering. The booking was for only four days but we left after three days with some sence of disappointment due to the tone of the housemanager placing responsibility on us for the missing gas and hot water, because we didn’t have WhatsApp in order to communicate - which we weren’t informed about being a must have in order to even communicate. There were free living unhealthy cats seeking food in the garden and trying to acces the appartment through doors to the garden. We therefore had to hold the doors closed at most times, which resulted in a less stress free and free air environment. The comfort of the beds and pillows were very low and it was impossible to get a good nights sleep due to this.
